It’s not too unexpected; Arc System Works will carry on supporting Guilty Gear Strive past Season 4, all the way to 2026.
next year, Guilty Gear Strive will receive an update known as version 2.00, which appears to introduce some new characters into the roster. These characters were hinted at following the game’s Evo 2025 grand finals, and you can view their intriguing artwork in the screenshot below.
Prior to the release of version 2.00, players can anticipate controlling Lucy (from the superb Cyberpunk: Edgerunners anime) starting from August 21st. It seems that the Japanese developers have executed an outstanding job in adapting the no-nonsense netrunner, as she engages in combat with monowires and quickhacks identical to those seen in Cyberpunk 2077. Her movements are remarkably precise.
Are you going to portray Lucy in Guilty Gear Strive? What are your expectations for the game’s 2.00 update? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments area below.
