The popular, but often overlooked, gangster series starring Tom Hardy and directed by Guy Ritchie is coming back for a second season on Paramount+. Filming for the new season has already reached a significant point.
Emmett J. Scanlan, who plays Paul O’Donnell in the series, announced on Instagram on March 28th that he’s finished filming his scenes for Season 2. He described the upcoming episodes as having a quickly moving and very ambitious plot.
MobLand Season 2 Has Almost Wrapped Filming
I’ve finished working on MobLand Season 2! It was an amazing experience, and I think fans who enjoyed the first season will love this one even more – it’s like Season 1, but bigger, more exciting, and packed with even more action.
The project was both challenging and quick-paced, but surprisingly, it didn’t feel hurried. He especially appreciated the supportive atmosphere on set and how creatively stimulating it was.
Scanlan made sure not to reveal any details about the plot, which is currently kept under wraps.
That’s a wrap on MOBLAND 2 for me! Huge thanks to everyone who made this experience so amazing – you know who you are. And to my followers, I hope you enjoy it when it’s released!
Filming for the second installment began in London in the fall of 2025. Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren are reprising their roles and have been seen shooting scenes both in London and Mallorca, Spain.
Creating MobLand Season 1 took about the same amount of time as Scanland – from November 2024 to March 2025. Now that Scanland is finished, the remaining cast members are expected to finish filming shortly.
This timing aligns with the planned release schedule. The first season launched while filming was still underway, with production finishing just four days before its March 30, 2025, debut. However, Paramount+ will probably aim for a different rollout strategy for the second season, though details are still being confirmed.
Who Stars in MobLand Season 2?
In addition to Hardy, Brosnan, Mirren, and Scanlon, the returning cast also includes Paddy Considine, Joanne Froggatt, Anson Boon, Lara Pulver, Mandeep Dhillon, Jasmine Jobson, Teddie Allan, Janet McTeer, Toby Jones, and Alex Fine.
The cast also includes Johnny Flynn, who played in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone and will now portray Lucius Malfoy, as well as Ophelia Lovibond from Minx.
The British crime drama proved incredibly popular on Paramount+, breaking streaming records with 2.2 million views worldwide on its first day and generating 9.7 million views on social media.
MobLand Season 1 is streaming on Paramount+.
