Gypsy Rose Blanchard Reveals Body Transformation After Weight Loss

Gypsy Rose Blanchard is shedding light on her weight loss secrets.

Gypsy Rose Blanchard, over two years after being freed from prison for plotting to kill her mother, Clauddine “Dee Dee” Blanchard, recently shared her impressive weight loss journey and showed off her new physique.

She explained in an Instagram post on March 4th that her weight loss wasn’t due to any special diet or secrets. Instead, it happened naturally because her life changed after her release from incarceration two years ago. She went from eating mostly processed foods from the prison commissary to enjoying home-cooked meals and a wider variety of foods.

To demonstrate her weight, Gypsy filmed herself weighing in at 108 pounds. The video also showed off her flat stomach and long, brown hair.

As someone who’s navigated a lot of life changes, I wanted to share a bit about my recent weight loss. It’s been a topic of conversation, and I want to be upfront: it wasn’t a conscious effort. I haven’t been hitting the gym extra hard or taking any weight loss medications. It just happened naturally, and I’m sharing that with you all. My sweet little Aurora, who’s 14 months old and shares with my partner Ken Urker, keeps me busy enough as it is!

She admitted she doesn’t have a regular exercise plan, nor does she restrict what she eats or use GLP-1 medications. She wishes she had a workout routine, though.

She explained she wasn’t deliberately trying to lose weight. Instead, she said her life simply transformed as she embraced newfound freedom.

Since getting out of prison in December 2023, Gypsy Rose Blanchard has been enjoying her newfound freedom and expressing herself through her appearance. She’s lost weight and, in April 2024, had a nose job, also experimenting with different hairstyles, as seen on Life After Lockup.

Gypsy recently revealed she’s been using wigs to boost her confidence after a haircut, explaining that some of her recent hair looks haven’t been permanent.

Gypsy explained that she had to cut her hair very short because bleaching it for almost two years had caused significant damage. She admitted she doesn’t feel good about having short hair, so she usually wears a nice wig while her natural hair recovers and grows back in.

As she put it, “I’m giving my hair a fresh start so it can grow long again.”

And Gypsy doesn’t intend to stop changing up her looks anytime soon. 

She shared in a January 2024 Instagram post (which has since been removed) that it’s always a good time to try something new, even something small like changing your hair. She encouraged people to enjoy life and express themselves creatively in ways that bring them joy.

In late March 2024, three months after her prison release, Gypsy shared that she and Ryan broke up.

She announced on her Facebook page, as reported by People magazine, that she and her husband are separating and she has moved back in with her parents near the bayou.

Gypsy Rose had surgery on her nose on April 5, 2024. The changes to her appearance will be shown on the Lifetime show, Gypsy Rose: Life After Lock Up.

I can’t believe it! I just saw the news – Gypsy filed for divorce from Ryan on April 8th! It’s so heartbreaking after everything they’ve been through. I mean, their wedding in prison back in July 2022 was already such a crazy story, and now this? It’s been less than two years! I’m honestly shocked and so sad for them both.

In late April 2024, shortly after filing for divorce, Gypsy revealed she was back together with her former fiancé, Ken Urker. She confirmed their renewed relationship the following month with a TikTok video showcasing their happy moments together.

In her video, Gypsy described her love story with Ken as “legendary.”

A fan brought up a suggestive question about Ken, referencing Gypsy’s previous remarks about her ex, Ryan. Gypsy responded promptly and honestly.

Okay, so I finally got Gypsy to try In-N-Out, and we went all out with a Double-Double, animal style! She gave it a solid 7 out of 10, which I think is a pretty good first impression. She’s not completely obsessed yet, but I’m hopeful!

Gypsy described meeting Kim Kardashian, who has recently become involved in criminal justice reform, as a great honor.

Gypsy told TopMob News host Keltie Knight that she was grateful for the woman’s time and found her to be very kind. They discussed prison reform, a topic Gypsy feels strongly about because of her own experiences. She acknowledged the woman had already done impressive work in that area.

Just under three months after starting divorce proceedings, Gypsy revealed she was pregnant with her first child with her new partner, Ken.

She revealed in a July 2024 YouTube video that she’s 11 weeks pregnant, adding that the pregnancy was a complete surprise.

Gypsy showed off her meaningful new tattoos in July.

Gypsy and Ken found out they were having a girl in August 2024 with a special celebration, and in November, they announced the baby’s name will be Aurora Raina Urker.

In December, Gypsy Rose Blanchard released her memoir, My Time to Stand, co-written with Melissa Moore and Michele Matrisciani, detailing her life story so far.

Gypsy gave birth to her first baby on Dec. 28, 2024, exactly one year after her prison release.
