Hades 2 – Dissolution of Time Guide | How to Get Entropy

To unlock the true ending of Hades 2, you’ll need to learn the Dissolution of Time Incantation. The main ingredient is ‘Entropy,’ but getting it isn’t easy – it requires a lengthy quest that will take more than a dozen playthroughs! Don’t worry though, this guide will walk you through everything you need to craft the Dissolution of Time.

How to Get Entropy for Dissolution of Time | Hades 2 Guide

To obtain the Entropy needed to progress the story, you must defeat Typhon a minimum of five times. Typhon is the last boss found at the Summit, meaning you can only fight him if you take the Surface path. He doesn’t appear on the Underworld path at all.

If you defeat Typhon five or more times, you’ll unlock the ability to create a new Incantation called “Disintegration of Montrosity.” Here’s what you’ll need to gather to craft it:

  • Z-Sand x1 – Obtained from defeating Chronos at the end of the Underworld route.
  • Void Lens x4 – Obtained when you defeat Typhon at the end of the Surface route. You most likely have this already, due to the 5 victories requirement.
  • Gigaros x1 – Obtained by defeating Chronos at least 6 times and talking to Zagreus in his room each time.

After gathering all the necessary materials, craft the Disintegration of Montrosity Incantation. Then, defeat Typhon on the Surface route again. This time, he’ll drop the special material called Entropy!

Now that you have Entropy and four more Z-Sands, you can take them to the Cauldron and craft the Dissolution of Time. With that done, you likely know what’s next: face Chronos in battle with your new item.

Now you have everything you need to get Entropy and trigger the Dissolution of Time in Hades 2. Completing these steps will put you on track to unlock the game’s true ending. You’re nearly finished!
