Hades, Monument Valley and 20 Other Titles Are Leaving Netflix Games

Netflix has revealed that several popular games from their Netflix Games service will be removed. It’s not unusual for games to leave the platform, but this time, some of Netflix’s top performers are departing, such as highly-rated titles like “Katana ZERO,” “Braid Anniversary Edition,” and the entire “Monument Valley” series.

Beginning July 2025, several popular games will no longer be accessible on the service. Specifically, July 14 marks the final day to play these games, including fan favorites such as “Hades” and “The Case of the Golden Idol” along with its sequel. As reported by What’s On Netflix, this removal represents approximately 20% of the total games offered on Netflix Games. For a complete list of the games being taken offline, please see below.

If you’re among those using our service to enjoy some top-tier mobile games, you’ll notice a “Leaving Soon” label appearing on the game icons in your collection. This serves as ample warning that you’ll soon lose access to these specific games.

As a gamer, I’d put it this way: “Just like your favorite shows and movies on Netflix might disappear when their licenses run out, so too can some games. You’ll see a ‘Leaving Soon’ tag on them, and the app will alert you before they vanish, giving you plenty of time to enjoy them before they’re gone.

According to reports, although several games are departing from their service, Netflix doesn’t seem to be reducing its financial commitment to its gaming sector at present. Instead, it appears that they are planning to focus their investments on creating immersive, big-screen experiences starting this year. In the meantime, mobile games will continue to be added to their platform.

In March 2024, the game known as Hades was launched for iOS via Netflix Games. This version of the game was developed in collaboration between Supergiant Games, its original creator, and Secret6. It can be played on iPhones and iPads that run iOS 16 or later versions.

It’s worth noting that in January 2024, there were reports suggesting Atlus was planning to create a new mobile game for their RPG, Metaphor: ReFantazio, which could be accessed via Netflix Games. Given Atlus’ history of extensively developing its popular franchises, such as Persona 3, 4, and 5, it’s no wonder that the news of Metaphor: Refantazio receiving a franchise expansion doesn’t come as a shock.

At present, Netflix Games continues to boast a number of highly-rated games such as Civilization VII, the upgraded edition of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, and the Netflix Edition of Dead Cells.
