Hailee Steinfeld Details Her, Josh Allen’s First Days With Baby Girl

Hailee Steinfeld’s first days of motherhood have been a total touchdown.

Following the April 2nd announcement that she and her husband, Josh Allen, had a baby girl, the actress, known for her role in True Grit, shared how wonderful life is with their new daughter.

I’m absolutely over the moon – truly, words can’t express how much love we have for our little girl! It’s everything everyone says about those first few weeks, and I’m just completely lost in the joy of being a new mom. It’s pure newborn bliss!

Both the Oscar-nominated actress and the Buffalo Bills quarterback are cherishing every moment with their new baby. And Hailee Steinfeld’s family – including her parents, Cheri and Peter Steinfeld, and her brother, Griffin – are eager to help out whenever they can.

Hailee’s mom shared the exciting news on Instagram April 2nd that their new baby, Cha Cha, had arrived! Her dad, Peter, also celebrated the birth, exclaiming that ‘Pop Pop’ – their grandfather – was officially on duty!

Griffin showed he was prepared to take on his responsibilities, announcing, “Uncle Griffin is officially on the job!”

Hailee and Josh, who got married last May, announced the birth of their daughter in Hailee’s April newsletter. They shared that they are overjoyed and thankful, and are enjoying their first moments with their new baby. They also expressed their gratitude for all the kind wishes and support they’ve received.

Before sharing the news in December that she was pregnant with Hailee, 29, opened up about how happy she was to begin a new phase of life with her partner, Josh, who is also 29.

She told Bustle in November that the sense of calm and stability she’s found is impossible to put into words. She’s incredibly grateful to have found her life partner, calling it “the greatest thing in the world” and saying it brings meaning and clarity to everything.

She explained that she finally felt like she was becoming the person she’d always wanted to be, and a big part of that was being with him.

Josh is overjoyed to be a father and has also been deeply touched by the incredible support from his fellow NFL players.

“It’s been really cool,” he said in December. “It’s a special moment in [me and] my wife’s life.”
