Hailee Steinfeld, an Academy Award nominee, recently discussed her work with Marvel. She’s famous for her role as Kate Bishop in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and also provides the voice for Gwen Stacy in the popular Spider-Verse films.
What did Hailee Steinfeld say about her Marvel future?
In a recent interview with Variety, Hailee Steinfeld addressed rumors about her possible involvement in a future Young Avengers project. The speculation arose after IMDb listed her as part of the cast for a new Marvel series called Champions, but Steinfeld said she has no knowledge of that listing. She did confirm, however, that she’s eager to reprise her role as Kate Bishop whenever Marvel asks her to.
I couldn’t believe what I saw! Is it really possible for just anyone to change information on IMDb? I was wondering if it was a random edit or if the person knew something they weren’t sharing. And regarding Marvel, I’m always hoping they’ll call me again. I really love working with them and I’m so thankful for the experience. I’m available whenever they need me.
Steinfeld also gave an update on Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, mentioning she’s been recording several times as the movie continues to change and develop.
We’re really involved in the creative process. I often think about how much improvisation happens – I’ve delivered the name ‘Miles’ in countless ways, and they likely have a huge collection of takes! But the story is always shifting. We never get a complete script upfront; it develops as we go, which makes working on it both challenging and exciting.
Bob Persichetti and Justin K. Thompson are directing the third film in the animated Spider-Verse series. Dave Callaham, Phil Lord, and Christopher Miller wrote the script. The movie features the voices of Shameik Moore as Miles Morales, Hailee Steinfeld as Gwen Stacy, Jake Johnson as Peter B. Parker, and Nicolas Cage as Spider-Noir, along with John Mulaney, Issa Rae, Daniel Kaluuya, Karan Soni, Oscar Isaac, Jason Schwartzman, Brian Tyree Henry, and Luna Lauren Velez, among others.
