Halle Bailey Details Holiday Season With Son Halo After Being “Healed”

It’s the most heavenly time of year for Halle Bailey.

Just under a month after ending their legal battle – where both she and her ex, DDG, had requested restraining orders – the singer, who shares a 23-month-old son named Halo with DDG, has been thinking about the challenges of the past year.

Halle recently described the past year as “really transformative” in an interview with Will Marfuggi of TopMob News. Speaking at the GQ Man of the Year dinner in Los Angeles, she shared her excitement about releasing a new album.

Halle shared that she feels completely healed, happy, and liberated. She hopes listeners will enjoy her music and expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to be present.

Last month, Chloe Bailey released her first solo album, Love?… or Something Like It. She also recently reached a temporary custody agreement with her partner, DDG (whose full name is Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr.), according to documents obtained by TopMob News.

Halle is excited to reflect on the past year with thankfulness, but she’s even more enthusiastic about making new holiday memories with her son.

“I’ve gone overboard with decorations,” she said. “I just put up Christmas lights all over my house and I’m really excited about how it looks.”

Halle added, “I like to bake sugar cookies. I do a whole thing.”

As for Halo’s favorite parts of the holidays? 

“He loves music,” Halle explained. “So, we wake up in the morning and sing songs.”

She isn’t sure if her child will pursue a career in music, saying it’s still too early to tell.

Halle shrugged, saying she’d support her son in following his passions. She added that he’s naturally talented with music, which she thinks is great.
