Halloween’s Haddonfield Town Center Map Showcased in New Trailer

Just after revealing the release date of September 8th for the Halloween game, IllFonic has released a new trailer. This trailer showcases the Haddonfield Town Center map, giving players a preview of the areas they’ll explore while trying to avoid Michael Myers.

The town map is a lively center for residents, offering plenty of places to shop, socialize, and enjoy daily life. Players can explore many businesses, potentially finding helpful items along the way. These include a bar, park, costume shop, car repair shop, and music store. The trailer ends with a dramatic musical build-up that transitions into the theme song from the classic 1978 horror film.

The game Halloween was first shown in a trailer in August 2025. As you’d expect, it’s based on the classic John Carpenter movie and stars Michael Myers as the primary villain players will face.

Similar to games like Dead by Daylight, Halloween lets one player become Michael Myers, hunting people through the town of Haddonfield. Four other players are the citizens trying to survive, warn others about Myers, and potentially slow him down. They can use a variety of weapons, both ordinary and improvised, to try and do so.

Players trying to escape Michael Myers can also direct other characters in the game, and can even give them weapons to help them survive encounters with the killer.

When IllFonic first announced their Halloween game, they called it an “immersive horror sandbox,” meaning players can interact with the environment to help them survive. The game will feature both online multiplayer and a single-player story mode focusing on the night Michael Myers returned home, told from his perspective.

Last March, IllFonic released a new trailer for their Halloween game, explaining how the multiplayer mode would function. The studio called it their most detailed, exciting, and scary multiplayer experience so far. The trailer highlighted a special ability for Michael Myers called “Killer Sense,” which switches the game to a first-person view, allowing him to find players and items.

Myers will gain supernatural powers, including the ability to move quickly and easily through environments – he can even pass through solid objects using a power called Shape Jump. He’ll also be able to gain a burst of speed with Shape Dash.

Halloween is coming to PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
