Halo Championship Series is Retiring Halo Infinite After October

Halo Studios has revealed that the forthcoming Halo World Championship marks the finale for Halo Infinite within this series’ new era. This tournament takes place from October 24th to 26th, with Halo Infinite set to appear in two subsequent Majors as well.

343 Industries, the developers behind Halo Studios, will carry on nurturing their competitive community, however, they’re transitioning away from official competitions for the current title. Notably, there won’t be a Halo Championship Series competition for the upcoming year. However, they plan to share more information about future developments in late 2026.

There’s been chatter about a possible remake of Halo: Combat Evolved, and Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer has even hinted at its return during the Xbox Games Showcase last month. But it’s rumored that this new version will focus solely on the single-player campaign, without the multiplayer mode.

As a gamer, I’ve heard whispers that the remake might not drop until the end of next year, which could pose a challenge for the HCS organizers. Nevertheless, we can expect some sort of announcement during this year’s Halo World Championship, so keep your eyes peeled for fresh updates!
