There’s been a lot of talk about the future of Halo, and excitement is building because Halo Studios will be sharing what they’ve been developing at the Halo World Championship on October 24th.
Okay, so I’ve been hearing a lot of buzz, and it sounds like Halo: Combat Evolved might be getting a full remake! Apparently, that’s not all – they’re also planning a brand new multiplayer game to go along with it. Halo Studios hasn’t officially said anything yet, but a bunch of sources are saying this is the plan.
At the same time, there seems to be rumors of the use of generative AI in those games.

A recent leak from Halo insider Rebs Gaming suggests that artificial intelligence is being used throughout the entire development process.
According to Rebs Gaming, a source with ties to Microsoft has revealed that generative AI played a major role in developing many of their games. This includes elements like how enemies behave and the creation of game landscapes.
According to a source familiar with the matter, generative AI is now being applied to real game creation, going beyond simple uses like managing calendars or composing emails.
So what does this tell us?
If the recent rumors are true, things could get tough for game developers, particularly because Microsoft is involved.

Why Generative AI Might Have Been Used in the Development
Rebs Gaming believes that this insider information could actually carry weight.
Brad Smith, Microsoft’s vice chair and president, recently outlined the company’s plan for achieving success with AI in a post on the official Microsoft blog.
According to Smith, Microsoft plans to invest around $80 billion in fiscal year 2025 to create AI-powered datacenters. These datacenters will be used to develop AI models and launch AI and cloud applications globally.
An industry source says the main reason game developers are using generative AI for their upcoming games is to meet stricter deadlines.
Developers are under pressure to deliver projects faster than ever, and generative AI is now seen as the key to meeting those tight deadlines.
Besides the recent speculation, Rebs Gaming discussed the possibility of a new multiplayer Halo game that would be regularly updated with new content, similar to how Fortnite operates.
My latest video covers updates on the Halo Combat Evolved remake – specifically, which details from my earlier report have been confirmed. I also discuss a possible multiplayer project I’ve talked about before, what a reliable source says about both projects, and some interesting news I’ve heard regarding the use of artificial intelligence.

As with any unconfirmed information, it’s best to be cautious and wait for official announcements from Halo Studios and Microsoft before believing this rumor.
