Verdict on Happy Gilmore 2

Recap

The film chronicles Happy Gilmore’s journey as he strives to conquer his inner struggles and secure his career to finance his daughter’s college education. However, these issues have escalated into larger complications, and a glitzy, modern golf league has emerged as a competitor. To triumph over the social media sensations, Happy is compelled to team up with conventional golfers.

The movie tells the story of Happy Gilmore’s attempt to resolve his personal challenges and safeguard his career for his daughter’s college fund. However, these difficulties have spiraled into more significant problems, leading to the rise of a trendy, new golf league. To beat the internet stars, Happy is forced to work with veteran golfers.

Best Parts

A portion of it is finding amusement in the fact that influencers on social media have essentially ruled the globe, discarding age-old customs momentarily for entertainment. Some of the secondary characters can be entertaining if you recognize them, and for me, Becky Lynch was a source of laughter.

Worst Parts

This film aspires to be a dodgeball-like comedy, but falls short on almost every front. It introduces numerous side characters, many of whom are social media influencers or figures from worlds I’m unfamiliar with. Regrettably, it fails to spark any interest in golf and the humor falls flat more often than not.

Final ThoughtsHappy Gilmore 2 is a soulless sequel without a laugh to be seen.
