Happy’s Place Returns For Season 2 With New Romance and A Big Secret

As a big fan of Reba McEntire, I was thrilled when NBC picked up her show, *Happy’s Place*! And from what I’ve heard, the next season is going to be packed with exciting things for us viewers.

I’m so excited about Season 2 of *Happy’s Place*! It’s a show created by Kevin and Julie Abbott, and it centers around Bobbie, played by Reba McEntire, who takes over her father’s bar after he passes away. Things get really interesting when she finds out she has a half-sister who’s also entitled to a part of it. Apparently, when the bar reopens, a huge secret from the past will come out, and it’s going to cause a lot of drama and test everyone’s friendships!

The show continues to emphasize Bobbie’s belief that family isn’t about blood relations, but the people who support you, including at work. The new season’s trailer hints at the emotional fallout from Bobbie and Emmett’s confession at the end of last season, and explores Bobbie’s feelings for him.

Bobbie tells Gabby that while Emmett is sweet, men are traditionally expected to make the first move. Gabby quickly points out that hasn’t been the case for decades, leaving Bobbie flustered. Bobbie admits she hasn’t dated in 30 years. Later, she confides in her sister Isabella, admitting she’s becoming anxious just thinking about dating.

Following the success of the first season, the new season of the show plans to feature more cast reunions. Kevin Abbott confirmed they are in talks with Joanna Garcia Swisher, who played Cheyenne Hart-Montgomery on the original sitcom, but are waiting for her schedule to align. Garcia has since gone on to a thriving acting career.

McEntire Loved Reuniting with Her Reba Co-Stars

Reba McEntire recently described how special it was to work with her former co-stars again. She told People magazine in May that the experience was very emotional for everyone involved. They all felt incredibly lucky to have found that kind of chemistry twice – once with the original run of *Reba*, and again during the reunion. She explained that finding a successful sitcom that lasts six seasons feels like hitting the jackpot, and to experience that magic a second time was truly remarkable.

The actor and singer said it’s wonderful to work with the same crew again, because you naturally build strong relationships with people you’ve collaborated with before, making the whole process much smoother than starting from scratch. In addition to Reba McEntire, JoAnna Peterman, and Linn, the series *Happy’s Place* features Belissa Escobedo, Pablo Castelblanco, and Tokala Black Elk. McEntire is also an executive producer for the show.

The second season of *Happy’s Place* will begin airing on NBC November 7th. New episodes will then be available to stream on Peacock starting November 8th.
