A new Harlan Coben thriller has become a New Year’s tradition, and this year it’s called Run Away. The trailer for this suspenseful series is finally here!
The trailer for Run Away was released today, offering a first look at the main actors and a preview of the show’s intense storyline.
The trailer shows Simon (James Nesbitt) and his family living what seemed like a perfect life.
The story begins as Simon and Ingrid drop their daughter, Paige (played by Ellie de Lange), off at college. Simon, as usual, is a bit embarrassing, while Ingrid happily documents the moment with lots of photos, marking the start of this new phase in Paige’s life.
But things quickly take an unexpected turn, with quick glimpses of future conflict: Paige attempting to leave home against her father’s wishes, escalating into shouting and eventually police intervention.
I was so excited to see Ruth Jones, one of the brilliant minds behind Gavin & Stacey, playing Elena Ravenscroft! She’s a private investigator in this, and the way she just shows up at a crime scene and casually mentions she’s helping the police was fantastic. It immediately hooked me!
It’s at this point we see how the paths of the two main characters intersect. Elena is determined to locate Paige for her investigation, but Simon can’t assist because he has no idea where his daughter is.

The trailer features initial looks at actors Nesbitt and Jones in their main roles, plus quick introductions to the characters played by Alfred Enoch as Detective Isaac Fagbenle, and Jon Pointing (known from Big Boys).
Simon Nesbitt seemed to have it all—a happy family, a good career, and a comfortable home. However, his life quickly unraveled when his oldest daughter, Paige, disappeared.
When he finally locates her – fragile and struggling with drug use in a park – he sees an opportunity to bring his daughter home. However, she’s with someone, and a disagreement quickly turns dangerously violent.
After the event, Simon feels the pain of losing his daughter all over again. His desperate search for her leads him into a shadowy and dangerous world, where he uncovers hidden truths that threaten to destroy his family.
Joining the cast of Run Away are Lucian Msamati, known for his work in Gangs of London, Tracy Ann-Oberman from Code 404, and Annette Badland who starred in Ted Lasso. Also featured are Finty Williams (The A List), Joe McGann (Kaos), Ingrid Oliver (Sweetpea), Adrian Greensmith (Shelter), Ellie Henry (Hollyoaks), Maeve Courtier-Lilley (Silent Witness), and Amy Gledhill (Alma’s Not Normal).
