
To mark 25 years since the release of the first Harry Potter film, Warner Bros. Discovery will be re-releasing ‘Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone‘ (originally released in 2001) in cinemas.
The return of the film to theaters is just the beginning of the celebration! Warner Bros. Discovery is planning a range of events for fans, including special screenings, exclusive merchandise, and other exciting experiences for wizards, witches, and muggles everywhere.
From March to May, we’re calling it Butterbeer Season! Keep an eye out for Butterbeer Trucks appearing in cities worldwide, serving up special drinks and exclusive merchandise.
If you’re not a big Harry Potter fan, July 31st might seem like any other day. But it’s actually Harry Potter’s birthday! To celebrate, official Harry Potter filming locations around the world will be hosting special events and activities this year.

As a film critic, I’m thrilled to share some fantastic news for Potterheads! Get ready to revisit the magic because ‘Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone’ is returning to the big screen! To celebrate its 25th anniversary, the film will be re-released in theaters from August 27th to September 3rd. It’s a perfect opportunity to experience the film that started it all with a crowd, and I, for one, will definitely be there!
The film is coming back to cinemas with ten minutes of brand-new behind-the-scenes footage. Plus, some cinemas will be showing all eight Harry Potter movies – so check your local listings!
Warner Bros. Discovery has promised immersive and magical experiences during the screenings. Many brands, including LEGO, Crocs, and Spin Master, are releasing related products, toys, and merchandise this year to celebrate.
This summer, Warner Bros. Studio Tour London is hosting a special event to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. Fans can see famous props from the first movie, including the Golden Snitch and the Philosopher’s Stone.
