Delighted to share that I’m ecstatic about the confirmation of Warwick Davis, our beloved actor, reprising his role as Professor Filius Flitwick in the Harry Potter series!
In the entire series of eight Harry Potter films, Davis played the character of the charms professor at Hogwarts and also portrayed Griphook the goblin.
It has been revealed that he will once again take on the character of Flitwick for the upcoming HBO television series, scheduled for release in 2027. On this occasion, the role of Griphook will be played by Leigh Gill instead of Davis.
In addition, it’s been verified that Elijah Oshin will play the role of Dean Thomas, Finn Stephens as Vincent Crabbe, and William Nash as Gregory Goyle in this production as well.
Concurrently, a new character will be introduced in the storyline, as Richard Durden steps into the shoes of Professor Cuthbert Binns, the History of Magic teacher who was previously unseen in the film series.
In this rephrased version, Sirine Saba is set to portray Professor Pomona Sprout in the role of Herbology, while Bríd Brennan assumes the character of Madam Poppy Pomfrey.
This revision maintains the original meaning while using simpler language and clearer sentence structure for easier comprehension.
The upcoming Harry Potter series plans to devote an entire season to each of J.K. Rowling’s books, starting with the first season that will center around the famous debut novel, “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.
The show is penned and overseen by Francesca Gardiner as its writer and executive producer. Meanwhile, Mark Mylod will not only serve as an executive producer but also direct several episodes of the series, all under HBO’s banner in collaboration with Brontë Film and TV and Warner Bros Television.
Previously, it was verified that Dominic McLaughlin takes on the role of Harry Potter, while Arabella Stanton is cast as Hermione Granger and Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley in the upcoming production.
In the upcoming production, Louise Brealey, known for her role as Sherlock, is set to portray Madam Rolanda Hooch. Anton Lesser from Andor will take on the role of Garrick Ollivander. Notable cast members also include John Lithgow as Albus Dumbledore, Janet McTeer as Minerva McGonagall, Paapa Essiedu as Severus Snape, Katherine Parkinson as Molly Weasley, Lox Pratt as Draco Malfoy, and Johnny Flynn as Lucius Malfoy.
JK Rowling, the writer of Harry Potter, has experienced criticism from certain groups regarding her opinions on transgender issues. In 2020, she shared a detailed statement expressing her views on debates surrounding sex and gender, which received criticism and opposition from organizations such as Stonewall that support LGBTQ+ rights.

The actors who played Harry Potter characters, such as Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson, have publicly expressed disagreement with J.K.
