Has Emily in Paris been renewed for season 6?

Major season 5 spoilers ahead.

The latest season of Emily in Paris is out, and fans are already eager to find out what happens in the next one!

Does Emily go to Greece? Does Mindy cancel the wedding?

We’re eagerly awaiting news about whether the show will be back for another season, and it looks like an announcement might be coming soon.

Netflix’s Ted Sarandos suggested a sixth season of Emily in Paris is likely, as he mentioned it among the shows the streaming service plans to release in 2026.

While it’s not official, things are looking hopeful for Emily’s story to continue, particularly after the way season five ended.

Darren Star, the show’s creator, has intentionally left several storylines open-ended. Emily is facing a choice about who to pursue romantically, and Mindy’s situation is even more complex this season. While Gabriel and Alfie have both revealed their feelings, it’s still unclear who they’ll ultimately choose.

Let’s take a look at what we know about season six of ‘Emily in Paris’ as we think about what might happen next for our favorite characters.

Has Emily in Paris been renewed for season 6?

Netflix hasn’t officially said anything yet, but a renewal seems probable considering recent statements by Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos.

When could a potential Emily in Paris season 6 be released?

We don’t have a confirmed release date for season six yet, but based on how long previous seasons took to produce, 2026 is a probable timeframe.

Season 4 premiered in August 2024, and season 5 is now available on Netflix as of December 2025. Hopefully, this shorter gap between seasons means fans won’t have to wait long to see what happens to Emily next.

Who could return for a potential Emily in Paris season 6?

Most of the main actors from season 5, including Lily Collins, Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu, Ashley Park, Lucas Bravo, and Lucien Laviscount, are expected to return for another season.

Okay, so Minnie Driver’s character, Princess Jane, is officially part of the inner circle now! She put some serious money into Sylvie’s company and is now a co-head. Honestly, I’m betting we’ll see a lot more drama from her next season – she’s definitely going to keep Emily on her toes and cause some trouble, I just know it!

The story seems to be shifting back to Paris, so we might not see as much of the Italian characters this season.

Sylvie decided to shut down the Rome office and move the entire team back to Paris. This will allow them to concentrate on strengthening relationships with current clients.

Okay, so the Italy arc is done, which is a little sad, but I’m really hoping we see more European adventures next season. Honestly, I’d love it if that led to some new faces joining the core group – it could really shake things up!

While it’s not official, most of the main characters from previous seasons are expected to be back for season six, including:

  • Lily Collins as Emily Cooper
  • Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu as Sylvie Grateau
  • Ashley Park as Mindy Chen
  • Lucas Bravo as Gabriel
  • Samuel Arnold as Julien
  • Bruno Gouery as Luc
  • William Abadie as Antoine Lambert
  • Lucien Laviscount as Alfie
  • Thalia Besson as Genevieve
  • Paul Forman as Nico
  • Arnaud Binard as Laurent G
  • Minnie Driver as Princess Jane

What could a potential Emily in Paris season 6 be about?

We don’t have details about season six yet, but it will likely continue the story from where season five left off, possibly with Emily starting a new chapter in Greece.

Following a difficult split from Marcello, Emily chooses to remain in Paris, where she’s established a life for herself. Sylvie helps spread the word about her decision, letting Gabriel know that Emily has returned to the city for good.

Gabriel has a break from his high-end job as a chef on a yacht, and he quickly reaches out to Emily with a postcard, inviting her to Greece. Could this be a chance for them to reconnect romantically? Or will Emily reject his invitation?

Mindy finds herself caught in a tricky love triangle. After attempting to get over a short fling with Alfie, she and Nico become increasingly close, and during a romantic trip to Rome, he proposes to her while they’re on a gondola.

Back in Paris and excited about planning a bachelorette party instead of a wedding, Mindy unexpectedly runs into Alfie, who warns her she’s making the wrong choice. Now, Mindy has to decide if she should stay with Nico, despite her lingering feelings for Alfie, or follow her heart. What she chooses remains to be seen.

When could the trailer for a potential Emily in Paris season 6 be released?

If the show comes out as planned in 2026, we can probably expect the trailer to arrive soon after.

We’ll probably see the full trailer about a month before the movie comes out, but it’s possible we’ll get a short sneak peek or some initial photos even sooner.
