The last episode of Season 9 aired on July 27, 2025, and it consisted of 10 episodes like its predecessor. Fans are eagerly waiting for updates about the show’s continuation. Excitingly, there will be more adventures with Rick and Morty as they return for Season 9, while a follow-up in Season 10 was previously announced in 2023. The creators have already confirmed that we can look forward to at least another season, Season 12, which was officially announced during the 2024 New York Comic Con panel by executive producers Dan Harmon and Scott Marder.
Michael Ouweleen, head of Adult Swim, expressed that since its first season, “Rick and Morty” has raised the bar for adult animation and continues to do so, showing no signs of slowing down. Based on its release schedule, the series is set to continue until 2029. In the meantime, it’s anticipated that Season 9 will premiere sometime between late 2026 and early 2027.
