The show follows Wednesday Addams’ journey at Nevermore Academy, where she encounters strange mysteries, hidden secrets, and unexpected supernatural turns. With the second season receiving a lot of attention, viewers are left wondering about the future of the show. So, has “Wednesday” been canceled or renewed for another season?
Here is all the information regarding the show’s future.
Has Netflix renewed Wednesday for Season 3 or canceled it?
Netflix’s Wednesday has been renewed for Season 3.
It’s confirmed that Netflix will carry on with the acclaimed TV series Wednesday, and we’ve even gotten a head start – Season 3 has already been given the green light prior to the airing of Season 2 Part 2 on September 3, 2025. However, as of now, no definite release date or timeframe for its debut has been disclosed.
According to The Hollywood Reporter’s interview with Alfred Gough and Netflix executive Bela Bajaria in July, there are talks about creating a spin-off series for Wednesday, suggesting that the new project might delve into another character from the Addams Family.
Gough stated, “We’re certainly considering more aspects, and there are additional characters that might be worth examining. As for Bajaria, he mentioned that there’s plenty to delve into within the Addams Family.
In a conversation with Tudum, the team behind Wednesday shared that their objective for Season 3 is consistent across all seasons – striving to create the finest version of Wednesday possible.
In simpler terms, Miles Millar, a co-creator, expressed that they aim to delve even deeper into the personalities of our characters and broaden the realm of Nevermore and Wednesday for Season 3. This means you can expect to see more members of the Addams Family and uncover more family mysteries!
In this show, the main actors include Jenna Ortega, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Georgie Farmer, Moosa Mostafa, Naomi J. Ogawa, Steve Buscemi, Evie Templeton, Christina Ricci, Luis Guzmán, and additional cast members.
