This mind-bending creation by Zeb Wells is based on the iconic comic book series of the same name by Robert Kirkman and Sean Phillips. Set in an eerie alternate universe, this gripping saga promises to be a chilling exploration of the zombie apocalypse among our favorite Marvel superheroes. And get ready for some amazing star power – several esteemed Marvel actors have lent their voices to bring this thrilling tale to life!
New Marvel Zombies image shows Hawkeye, Black Widow and more
Marvel Studios recently unveiled a new image featuring Marvel Zombies, presenting fans with a unique perspective of their beloved MCU characters in a zombie-like state. In this intriguing image, fan favorites such as Hawkeye, Scarlet Witch, Emil Blonsky (Abomination), Nebula, Monica Rambeau (Photon), Okoye, Ava Starr (Ghost), Black Widow, and Wanda Maximoff (Scarlet Witch) can be seen among a crowd of the undead. They are gathered in front of an unknown building, as reported by ComicBook.com.
In other words, Marvel Zombies continues the narrative started in the universe presented in “What If… Zombies?!”, which was episode 5 of What If…? Season 1. The story picks up after the events that occurred in this initial show.
When the Avengers get infected with a zombie virus, a few remaining humans find a way to stop these powerful undead creatures. They journey through a post-apocalyptic world, putting themselves in danger to save Earth.
The lineup for this show features David Harbour portraying Alexei Shostakov/Red Guardian, Awkwafina taking on the role of Katy, Simu Liu as Xu Shang-Chi, Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch, Iman Vellani starring as Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel, Hailee Steinfeld appearing as Kate Bishop, Paul Rudd playing Scott Lang, and Florence Pugh embodying Yelena Belova. Hudson Thames provides the voice for Peter Parker/Spider-Man, while Todd Williams voices Blade.
The upcoming TV series, Marvel Zombies, marks the 16th show within the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), produced by Marvel Studios. This exciting new show will make its debut on Disney+ on September 24, 2025, as a part of Phase Six of the franchise.
