
One of the early hits on Disney+ from Marvel Studios was the fun and suspenseful series Hawkeye, which brought the character Kate Bishop into the Marvel Cinematic Universe and is considered one of Marvel’s most enjoyable shows. Many viewers hoped Clint Barton and Kate Bishop would team up again in a second season, but despite some talk about it, those plans never materialized. Now, five years later, a producer has shared some disheartening news about the possibility of a second season.
Speaking with The Direct about his new Marvel show, Wonder Man, creator Andrew Guest revealed he previously considered developing a second season of Hawkeye. He explained that while they explored ideas for a potential Season 2, it ultimately didn’t align with Marvel’s overall plans. Guest shared his enjoyment of working on Hawkeye and expressed his desire to see more of Jeremy Renner and Hailee Steinfeld’s characters together.
Marvel’s Hawkeye Deserved A Season 2

I was completely blown away by Hawkeye when it came out on Disney+! It was such a fun, exciting story set right in the heart of New York City. Honestly, I really think it deserved another season, especially because I loved watching the relationship between Clint and Kate develop – they had amazing chemistry!
The show did a great job of delving into the pasts and inner struggles of both characters, particularly Clint Barton. While Clint had been in many Marvel films before, the Hawkeye series truly allowed viewers to understand him on a deeper, more personal level. The series also perfectly introduced Kate Bishop, and Clint and Kate had fantastic chemistry together on screen.
The villains, Kingpin and Yelena Belova, were both used effectively and created distinct challenges for the heroes. While Clint and Yelena had some great moments, Kate and Yelena were the real standouts – their scenes together were consistently engaging and memorable.
Although some of Marvel’s shows on Disney+ worked best as limited series, Hawkeye had the potential for a fantastic second season, and it’s disappointing that it probably won’t get one.
