Most fan communities have their preferred romantic pairings that aren’t officially part of the story. In the Hazbin Hotel fandom, ‘RadioApple’ – a pairing of the characters Lucifer and Alastor – is particularly popular, and the upcoming second season could finally give this relationship some focus.
I honestly think episode 5 of season 1 was when everything really took off for this show! Seeing Lucifer and Alastor go head-to-head in that musical number, ‘Hell’s Greatest Dad,’ was amazing. The way they traded those clever, cutting lines just sparked something in the fandom. Seriously, it unleashed a tidal wave of fanfiction imagining a romance between them – it was wild to watch!
The ruler of Hell has a surprisingly interesting connection with Charlie’s dedicated hotel manager. Vivienne Medrano, the creator of Hazbin Hotel, has hinted that their relationship is quite unusual.

That’s a really interesting question! I especially enjoy exploring the dynamic between Lucifer and Alastor. I can’t say much about their relationship right now, as it’s one that unfolds in a very special way throughout the series.
Knowing fans would likely have strong opinions, Medrano immediately added that “relationships” could refer to many different kinds of connections.
She explained that both characters are very proud and believe they are superior to others, which causes conflict between them. She’s looking forward to viewers seeing how this rivalry develops into something engaging and enjoyable.
Lu and Bambi’s connection could develop in various ways, and isn’t necessarily limited to romance. However, Lucifer will definitely be back for future seasons – especially season 3, which is already confirmed.
Season 3 really focuses on Lucifer Morningstar, and that’s something I’m excited about. I’m a big fan of the character, and I especially enjoy seeing his relationships evolve throughout the series.
The show won’t only focus on Lucifer’s story; it will also explore Charlie’s family relationships in more detail.
This could give the comedic character more screen time, and it might also reveal more about Lilith, the intriguing queen of hell, who Medrano considers a central figure in the Hellaverse.
