HBO Max has included one of the top horror films ever made in its July 2025 lineup. The length of time this horror movie will be available for free streaming through HBO Max is yet to be determined, but it’s certainly a highlight of the upcoming releases. In fact, while Sinners is the major addition for July 2025, there’s a strong argument that this horror film from 2017 might even surpass it in popularity. This movie won an Oscar for Best Original Screenplay in 2017 and was also nominated for Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Actor. It holds a rare 98% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, making it one of the highest-rated horror films ever released on the platform.
The recently released horror flick available on HBO Max is none other than “Get Out,” directed by Jordan Peele during his first stint as a director. This movie certainly left an impact! Critics and viewers alike were blown away, and it managed to earn an astonishing $255 million at the box office against a production budget of only $4.5 million. This made “Get Out” the tenth most profitable film of 2017. What’s even more remarkable is that its release in the world’s largest market, China, was quite limited, making this accomplishment all the more impressive.
People choosing to stream the movie “Get Out” on HBO Max can anticipate a running time of approximately 104 minutes. It’s important to note that this film carries an R-rating, common among horror movies, due to its graphic violence, disturbing images, and language containing sexual references.
A weekend encounter between a black photographer and his white girlfriend’s parents in this horror blockbuster on HBO Max takes an unexpectedly frightening turn.
Individuals who don’t have an HBO Max subscription can either pay $9.99 monthly (or more for ad-free premium plans) or watch the horror movie on Peacock. Currently, these are the only platforms where the movie is available to stream for free. Elsewhere, it needs to be bought or rented. Unfortunately, HBO has not shared how long “Get Out” will be available for free streaming on their platform.
