HBO Max is removing even more classic Cartoon Network shows. As Warner Bros. Discovery focuses less on children’s programming, titles like Ed, Edd n Eddy, Courage the Cowardly Dog, and What’s New, Scooby Doo have already been taken down. Now, another popular series is leaving soon, meaning viewers have only a few days left to watch it on the streaming service.
If you enjoy the animated series Lamput, you’ll want to watch it soon on HBO Max. This Cartoon Network show features a playful, orange creature named Lamput and follows the chaotic chase between him and two scientists. While three seasons of the show have been available on the streaming service, Season 1 will be removed on January 31st. Lamput originally ran for four seasons with a total of 147 short episodes, which range in length from 18 seconds to five minutes, and first aired in 2017.
Lamput Is Like Looney Tunes Meets Tom & Jerry
Imagine the fast-paced, silly energy of classic Looney Tunes and Tom & Jerry cartoons, and you’ll get a good idea of what Lamput is like. While it’s a recent hit on Cartoon Network, Lamput feels like a throwback to those beloved older cartoons. The show is all about visual comedy – think slapstick, explosions, and fast chases – and doesn’t rely on much dialogue. It features a classic predator-and-prey setup where Lamput, a quick-witted character, always manages to escape Specs and Skinny. The show’s energetic chases are brought to life with sharp animation and fun character designs. Because it doesn’t depend on words, Lamput is easy for anyone, anywhere, to enjoy.
The combination of elements worked well because Lamput is a particularly strong modern Cartoon Network show. While it doesn’t have a Rotten Tomatoes rating, Lamput was very popular with viewers during its original run. One Reddit user called it a “super funny, super quirky short series” with “the perfect balance of hilarious absurdity and genuine creativity.” The show also received recognition at the Asian Academy Creative Awards, winning both Best Animated Program or Series (2D or 3D) and Best Short Form Content.
Where to Stream Lamput Season 1 After It Leaves HBO Max?
Season 1 of Lamput is no longer available on HBO Max and hasn’t appeared on any other major streaming services yet. With February 2026 content lists being released, it looks like fans may temporarily lose access to the show. While full seasons are available on the Cartoon Network Asia YouTube channel, it doesn’t seem Lamput will be added to a major streaming platform soon. However, streaming content changes frequently, so it’s possible Lamput could reappear on a service at a later date.
