Fans of HBO Max’s animated series *Adventure Time* have something to look forward to: new episodes are arriving later this month! Along with a new trailer, Warner Bros. Discovery has shared details about the show’s continued expansion. Since the original series ended, *Adventure Time* has become a major franchise, with several specials already released. Now, a new movie and another spinoff are in development, and the show’s most popular spinoff is also continuing with its own episodes.
The first season of *Adventure Time: Fionna and Cake* was very popular when it premiered on HBO Max, and a second season was quickly greenlit. Updates on the new season have been scarce until recently, when it was announced it would arrive in October. Now, the full trailer for Season 2 has been released during New York Comic Con 2025, and you can watch it below.
When Does Adventure Time: Fionna and Cake Season 2 Come Out?
The second season of *Adventure Time: Fionna and Cake* will begin streaming on HBO Max on October 23rd. Warner Bros. has announced that the season will have ten episodes, released one per week. The final episode will be available on December 25th, so fans can mark their calendars to watch each new episode as it comes out.
Adam Muto is back as the executive producer and showrunner for Season 2 of Adventure Time: Fionna and Cake, working with Cartoon Network Studios. Fred Seibert and Sam Register also serve as executive producers. The show features voice actors Madeleine Martin, Roz Ryan, and Ashly Burch, along with a fantastic lineup of recurring guest stars including Anna Akana, Dee Bradley Baker, Maria Bamford, Matthew Broderick, Kris Collins, Frank Collison, Andy Daly, Grey DeLisle, Harvey Guillén, Patti Harrison, Manny Jacinto, Tom Kenny, Marc Maron, Jinkx Monsoon, Kumail Nanjiani, Olivia Olson, Vico Ortiz, Chelsea Peretti, Jeremy Shada, Hynden Walch, and Pendleton Ward, among others.
What’s Going on in Fionna and Cake Season 2?

Season 2 of *Adventure Time: Fionna and Cake* will see Fionna and Cake facing brand new challenges after their multiverse travels. Meanwhile, Huntress Wizard will be on a dangerous mission with potentially deadly results. The events of the first season have set the stage for a much larger story, and Fionna and Cake are ready to take it on.
The voice cast might be different this season, and some characters in the trailer sound like they’re being voiced by new actors compared to season one. Warner Bros. has announced a large group of guest stars, but it’s still unknown who will be taking on specific roles. Luckily, we won’t have to wait much longer to find out how everything plays out.
