Heartbreak High season 3 release date finally confirmed by Netflix

After nearly two years since the last season, Netflix has announced the release date for Heartbreak High season 3.

The third season of this high school drama – a fresh take on the popular Austrian teen show from the 1990s – will be available to stream worldwide on March 25, 2026.

The third season will be the final one for the show, and it focuses on the students of Hartley High as they prepare for graduation and what comes next. However, a prank intended as revenge takes a dark turn, and Amerie (Ayesha Madon) and her friends are forced to hide what happened, or they could lose everything.

Season 3 will feature a talented cast including Madon, James Majoos, Chloé Hayden, Asher Yasbincek, Thomas Weatherall, Will McDonald, Gemma Chua-Tran, Bryn Chapman Parish, Sherry-Lee Watson, Brodie Townsend, Rachel House, Chika Ikogwe, Kartanya Maynard, Aki Munroe, Ioane Sa’ula, Ben Turland, and William McKenna.

It was confirmed that the show would be returning for a third and final season back in May 2024.

When season 1 ended on a cliffhanger, the main character didn’t receive a crucial letter. Now, Netflix is excited to reveal what happens as a result, according to Que Minh Luu, Director of Content for Australia and New Zealand.

We at Netflix are incredibly proud to be bringing Heartbreak High back for its final season. It’s been wonderful collaborating with the talented creators of this beloved Australian show, and sharing its stories, culture, and humor with fans both in Australia and around the globe. We look forward to celebrating the final episode with everyone!

Carly Heaton, Fremantle’s head of scripted programming, shared her enthusiasm for the team reuniting and returning to the vibrant world of Hartley High. She explained that their goal was to make a show that truly represents and gives a voice to young Australians.

We’re incredibly touched by the amazing response to the characters and their stories from fans all over the world. Everyone involved with the show is excited – and a little nervous – to see how things unfold in season 3.
