Towards the closing moments of the preview, there’s a brief snippet showing a pod descending from space and landing in the heart of a gloomy, wet city – emphasizing the ‘wet’ or ‘rain-soaked’ setting.
It’s been noted by several players that the song playing towards the end of this trailer is actually “Rain,” which is the fourth track from the Halo 3: ODST soundtrack.
Currently, the Xbox launch doesn’t necessarily guarantee a crossover event, but there’s a glimmer of possibility due to a cryptic tweet by a well-known leaker IronS1ghts. He posted a Halo GIF in response to the official Helldivers 2 account on Twitter.
In simple terms, the upcoming Warbond for Helldivers 2 is planned for release on August 26th, which coincidentally marks the day when the game becomes available on Xbox consoles. It’s possible that this concurrence could lead to a Halo-themed collaboration to celebrate the event.
If things go as usual, it seems we might need to hold on till approximately August 19th since Arrowhead usually unveils their new Warbonds during the last week before they’re released.
