Here Are All The Awesome Offsites We Visited at San Diego Comic-Con 2025 (SDCC)

At San Diego Comic-Con 2025, it wasn’t just about the discussions and exhibits; the entire city pulsated with engaging off-site experiences that amplified fan enthusiasm to unprecedented levels. From private industry gatherings to interactive brand events and themed installations, these off-site happenings provided unique opportunities to interact with some of the most prominent figures in entertainment.

Meanwhile, the main stages for “Project Hail Mary”, “Peacemaker” season 2, and “Tron: Ares” were bustling with announcements and surprises, but that wasn’t all the excitement.

Here’s a summary of the exceptional events where TopMob participated, which truly embodied the essence of Comic-Con San Diego, extending beyond the confines of the convention center.

Rocking Out at Peacefest

This year at San Diego Comic-Con, DC Studios and HBO Max truly shone, particularly with their hit series “Peacemaker.” Not only was there an impressive panel in Hall H, but the show also transformed Nova SD in San Diego into a massive rock n’ roll venue, honoring John Cena’s character as a vigilante.

At the event, I was privy to captivating live performances and unique photo opportunities showcasing the latest Peacemaker cycle and an array of Peacemaker helmets. Remarkably, a few lucky fans got to encounter a real eagle perched high above at Eagly’s Perch! The experience was further enriched by visiting Harcourt’s Knockout bar for refreshments and snapping up some exclusive merchandise.

On Saturday, TopMob was fortunate enough to join an exclusive VIP event. During this evening, both Foxy Shazam and Steel Panther took the stage for live concerts, while famous figures like James Gunn and other distinguished attendees graced the occasion with their presence.

Late Night at the IGN Party – Partnered With One Piece

On the 25th of July last Friday, I was fortunate to be part of an extraordinary industry get-together at the Hard Rock Hotel, illuminated by none other than the IGN After Party. This special occasion was all about celebrating the renowned anime series, One Piece. In collaboration with Toei Animation, we experienced pulsating tunes from a live DJ, saw our favorite One Piece mascots in person, and even got our hands on some limited-edition trading cards! It was an unforgettable night.

Only select attendees, who were either invited or won contests via IGN and Toei’s social media promotions, had the opportunity to attend the event. Those aged 21 and above enjoyed mixable drinks as they networked with creators, influencers, and industry professionals in the entertainment sector.

At a renowned SDCC location, the IGN party shone as a vibrant and sociable event during SDCC 2025. Packed with an animated crowd, exciting ambiance, and privileged entry, it was a significant standout moment of the convention.

Surviving Frendo at the Clown In a Cornfield Maze

Have you ever pondered over whether you could withstand the challenges posed by Frendo the Clown, as depicted in “Clown In a Cornfield”? If so, IFC and Shudder took their opportunity at SDCC to offer everyone a chance to test this very possibility.

This year’s offsite at the convention was undeniably one of our favorites, thanks to its meticulously crafted and intensely immersive haunted maze featuring live actors. Attendees would navigate their way through a corn maze, evading Frendo, before finding themselves in an impressively detailed replica of the shed where the film’s main characters are trapped at one point.

After the event, participants can enjoy engaging in some delightful carnival activities, and they will be rewarded with a cool slushie drink and tasty sweets.

A Terrifying Experience at Alien: Earth – Code Red

For the anticipation of FX’s new series, Alien: Earth, fans were given an exclusive off-site event near the Hilton Bayfront. The highlight of the experience was “Code Red”—an engaging adventure featuring live actors portraying frantic survivors and crew members.

In this rephrased version, the interactive tale maintained a suspenseful atmosphere for the audience members, guiding them through shadowy ruins in teams, under time constraints, experiencing character-based exchanges, and encountering unsettling audio effects.

The actors’ ability to spontaneously act convincingly gave the environment an authentic, somewhat dramatic feel. It was as if we were partaking in a thrilling adventure at a Universal or Disney theme park ride, seamlessly blending storytelling and terrifying performances.

Twisted Metal Bumper Cars Carnage

Following the style of the popular game series Twisted Metal, the Peacock series, derived from the renowned PlayStation video game franchise, turned San Diego Comic-Con into a battleground with a full-scale bumper car setup. Each vehicle was customized to represent a contestant from Season 2’s grand tournament, featuring characters such as Sweet Tooth, Mayhem, Mr. Grimm, Vermin, and others.

During the event, there was a figure named Calypso who made announcements and jabbed at both the competitors and spectators alike.

Or,

Calypso, another character involved, was responsible for making announcements and teasing both the players and those watching from the sidelines during the activation.

Enhancing the event even further, real vehicles including Sweet Tooth’s ice cream truck were showcased in the parking area, while characters straight out of the series, like the Doll Face gang, roamed about the activation, engaging with attendees.

Predator: Badlands Spaceship Tour

Experiencing Predator: Badlands, participants were guided through a replica Predator spaceship where they marveled at the legendary trophy display and numerous alien artifacts. A significant part of the encounter was dedicated to Weyland-Yutani, hinting at some ominous past event as advanced lab equipment suggested something sinister had transpired.

During our visit, unfortunately, we missed out on an exciting aspect – a real-life Predator costume character that fans could engage with.

Additionally, there was a bar and a captivating photo opportunity featuring an animatronic version of Elle Fanning as her character Thia. Although she appeared to have gone through some hardships, given her somewhat worn appearance.

Lilo & Stitch Tropical Bash

In an exciting twist, downtown San Diego was transformed into a vibrant tropical oasis by Disney’s Lilo & Stitch offsite event, offering a laid-back Hawaiian atmosphere complete with coconut drink dispensers, authentic Hawaiian shaved ice desserts, and delicious traditional island cuisine.

A large Stitch warmly welcomed visitors for pictures, while his lively atmosphere consistently drew a bustling audience. Additionally, an entertaining photo opportunity was available where fans could ride a surfboard alongside Stitch.

In 2025, the actors Maia Kealoha, Sydney Elizabeth Agudong, and Tia Carrere graced the event, providing attendees with an opportunity to take pictures alongside the cast members from the year’s sole billion-dollar movie production.

Paramount Lodge SDCC Experience

Paramount’s multi-franchise Lodge setup yet again provided an engaging series of mini-interactive experiences for fans of shows like Dexter, Star Trek, Mission: Impossible, among others. The Dexter: Resurrection exhibit was particularly spine-tingling, offering visitors a guided tour through unsettling memorabilia and case files linked to fictional serial killers. The presence of original cast members such as Michael C. Hall and Jennifer Carpenter added to the anticipation surrounding this section.

Concurrently, the series Star Trek: Strange New Worlds and Starfleet Academy were brought to existence in a grand holodeck, complete with beverages, brief scenes, and opportunities for memorable photos to share.

Enthusiastic football fans made their way to the CBS Sports Clubhouse for a chance to showcase their throwing abilities alongside an impressive display of all 32 NFL jerseys. Meanwhile, Landman and Tony & Ziva created immersive settings, complete with themed beverages and decor inspired by their individual programs.

Attending the Mission: Impossible vault drop photo opportunity was highly sought-after, causing lengthy queues as people eagerly wanted to emulate Ethan Hunt. Complimentary food and beverages further enhanced the inviting ambiance, resulting in one of the most successful events of the week.

Hellaverse (Hazbin Hotel & Helluva Boss) Party With Cosplay Galore

This year, we’re hosting events at Bloom Nightclub, previously home to The Penguin’s Iceberg Lounge, where Amazon Studios held the lively Hellaverse Party. The expansive space provided an ideal setting for fans to enthusiastically celebrate their beloved animated series.

It’s well-known that the enthusiasts of the Hellaverse are deeply passionate about cosplay, and this event was no exception. The dance floor was filled with an array of characters from the vibrant series, making it difficult not to encounter numerous interpretations as you moved around.

Some of the talent behind the Hellaverse shows also attended to celebrate as well.

Detailed and Fun King of the Hill Experience

Hulu’s revival of King of the Hill brought a generous dose of Texan flair, converting an open area into a backyard barbecue fit for the Hill family. Attendees had the opportunity to engage in friendly competitions such as Alamo Pong, a beanbag-style game, or test their accuracy in a cowboy boot ring toss, where they aimed to land rings on boots to win rewards.

Large, two-dimensional standees featuring cherished characters such as Hank, Peggy, and Bobby provided numerous chances for themed photographs, while popular props including Dale’s van and the family lawnmower drew lots of applause. The event aimed to evoke a strong sense of nostalgia, allowing long-time fans of the show to feel like inhabitants of Arlen.

The Tradition of Adult Swim’s Party on the Lawn

During this year’s Green takeover by Adult Swim, there was a delightful blend of pirate and cat themes, turning it into an exciting yet surreal dreamscape titled “Pirate Purrrty.

Located slightly beyond the conference venue, the event offered some unusual attractions such as the trampoline-style Buttworld Bounce House (inspired by “Rick and Morty”), a hide-and-seek game with mushroom plushies, and photo opportunities with “Smiling Friends” characters and women wearing shoulder pads.

In this version, the assortment included plush toy adoptions, humorous mini-games, and on-site merchandise; it offered a plethora of activities and attractions compared to the previous one, boasting enhanced interactivity and gameplay experiences.

Spider-Man and Magic the Gathering Crossover Event

Wizards of the Coast transformed the Hard Rock Hotel into a magical, superheroic fusion area in preparation for the upcoming launch of their Magic: The Gathering and Spider-Man collaboration on September 26th.

The production for the upcoming Tom Holland Spider-Man movie is now in progress, marking another chapter in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This development is sure to bring Spider-Man’s adventures back into the spotlight and rekindle the enthusiasm of fans everywhere.

As a movie enthusiast, I must say that stepping into this unique cinematic experience was nothing short of extraordinary! The venue seamlessly fused the pulsating urban vibe of Spider-Man with the enchanting allure of Magic Kingdom, creating an immersive atmosphere that truly brought these worlds together.

The Daily Bugle-inspired decor added authenticity to the theme, while interactive displays kept the excitement level high. And This immersive event was more than just a movie review; it was an exhilarating journey into the Marvel universe itself!

Thrilljoy Boardwalk Bash Party

At San Diego Comic-Con 2025, Thrilljoy, a fresh collectibles company led by ex-Funko CEO Brian Mariotti, showcased an impressive start with their energetic “Boardwalk Bash”, which took place at the InterContinental hotel.

At the event, which resembled an old-fashioned beach carnival, there were nostalgic games, interactive stations, and plenty of free food and drinks for everyone. Attendees could show off their strength at a traditional high striker with a hammer, score points in vintage skee-ball lanes, or try their luck at ring toss and other classic games. The atmosphere was reminiscent of a charming seaside fair, combining timeless attractions with Thrilljoy’s unique collectible element. Upon arrival, TopMob was warmly welcomed by members of the Thrilljoy team, including Mariotti, making the event feel even more special.

During the San Diego Comic-Con weekend, the ambiance was lively, vibrant, and buzzing with energy. It seemed as though it was not only enjoyable but also cleverly designed as a marketing strategy, keeping fans intrigued about what lies ahead for Thrilljoy.

Old Spice and Superman Teamup

At Comic-Con, right when Superman was still dominating the big screen, Old Spice unveiled an exceptionally refreshing experience outside the Hilton Bayfront. Their heroic setup welcomed guests to step into a “transformation chamber” and exude the swagger of a true hero, all thanks to their brand-new line of Bright Citrus products inspired by Superman.

The connection with Superman seemed relevant and skillfully done, giving enthusiasts an opportunity to deepen their fandom outside of the cinema. Although it may not have been as grandiose as other initiatives, the branding was precise and the incorporation of the product felt natural.

Circle 6 Wrestling Brings Brandon Davis on Stage

This year at San Diego Comic-Con, Circle 6 Entertainment integrated their wrestling shows, and engaged Comic-Con viewers with the participation of Phase Hero host, Brandon Davis.

The Wicked West venue was dominated by the Slime Summer event, which showcased several wrestlers such as Joe Dred, Luigi Primo, Su Yung, Frank the Clown, Casanova Valentine, Matt Justice, Danhausen, and Brandon Davis.
