Highguard, the free-to-play shooting game revealed at The Game Awards 2025, hasn’t said much since then, but now it’s starting to share updates again.
The game’s social media accounts recently announced a special launch showcase that will air at the same time the game releases on January 26, 2026.
The showcase will give a detailed look at the upcoming game Highguard, straight from the developers. They’ll show off extensive gameplay, share their plans for the first year after release, and answer all our questions before players get their hands on it.

- UK/Ire: 6pm GMT
- Europe: 7pm CET / 8pm EET

Highguard is developed by Wildlight Entertainment, a recently established studio. Its team includes former developers from Respawn Entertainment, the creators of Titanfall and Apex Legends.
The game is a team-based shooter where players battle for control of areas on beautifully designed fantasy maps. Details are currently limited, but a full reveal is expected very soon.
People were getting anxious waiting for news about the game before it came out, but it looks like we’re getting all the information at the same time now.
