Hannah Moody‘s cause of death has been revealed one month after her passing.
On May 22nd, it’s been confirmed that the hiking influencer discovered deceased on a trail in Scottsdale, Ariz., last month, passed away due to “exposure to environmental heat,” as stated on the Maricopa County Medical Examiner’s Office’s website, which was recently accessed by TopMob News.
Her manner of death was determined to be accidental.
On May 21, it was reported that the content creator had gone missing, but the initial search was halted later that day, as stated in a May 22 press release from the Scottsdale Police Department.
Later that day, her lifeless body was discovered close to the Gateway Entrance of Scottsdale’s McDowell Sonoran Preserve. She had just turned 31 years old.
Not long after the unfortunate event, Terri Moody, Hannah’s mother, voiced her sorrow over Hannah’s demise.
“It’s numbing,” she told Arizona’s Family on May 28. “I feel like it’s not real.”
At the time, Terri also shared that Hannah’s cause of death was a “mystery” to their family.
She went on explaining, “We’re trying to figure out the whole picture since we’re unaware of any health issues or other factors that might have led to this situation.
Meanwhile, though Hannah’s family members were still seeking answers, Terri emphasized that they weren’t suspecting any form of misconduct.
She mentioned that while everyone is thinking it might have been due to excessive heat, it’s important to note that this conclusion isn’t definitive. Additionally, there was no evidence suggesting any form of misconduct had occurred.
Furthermore, she expressed gratitude towards her community for their backing during the hunt for Hannah, a popular figure with over 45,000 followers on Instagram.
Terri clarified, “Because there were plenty of individuals who cherished and nurtured her, they stepped up to the task. We’re truly thankful for their involvement.
And closing out her message, she reflected on her daughter’s love of the outdoors.
Terri mentioned that any chance she had to perch herself atop something and gaze out over the scenery, whether it was watching the sunrise or sunset, were moments she truly enjoyed.
