The trailer for the new Netflix thriller, His & Hers, is here! Starring Jon Bernthal and Tessa Thompson, the series follows Anna, a news anchor, and Jack Harper, a detective, as they work to solve a murder. It’s based on the 2020 novel of the same name by Alice Feeney.
Netflix has released a trailer for the upcoming series, His & Hers, revealing the show centers around a divorced couple, Anna and Jack. In the trailer, Jack is seen speaking to the press at a crime scene, stating he can’t share any details except that a body has been discovered. Immediately after, his ex-wife publicly questions him in front of reporters, asking if he knew the victim.
As Anna and Jack investigate the truth, their relationship becomes strained. Jack insists he’s innocent when Anna questions his involvement. The trailer concludes with Anna pointing out that with every story, there are two sides, meaning someone isn’t telling the truth. Watch the trailer below!
The cast of the new miniseries His & Hers includes Pablo Schreiber, Crystal Fox, Sunita Mani, Rebecca Rittenhouse, Marin Ireland, and Poppy Liu. It premieres on Netflix January 8th. Here’s a look at what the show is about:
Anna, a former news anchor in hot and humid Atlanta, has withdrawn from life, losing touch with friends and her career. When she learns about a murder in her quiet hometown of Dahlonega, she’s driven to investigate. However, Detective Jack Harper becomes wary of her involvement, and she finds herself under his scrutiny. Everyone has their own version of events, and in this case, someone isn’t telling the truth.
Launching in 2026, His & Hers could be one of Netflix’s first major successes of the new year. The streaming service has seen strong results with thriller miniseries in the past, like The Beast in Me, starring Claire Danes and Matthew Rhys, which premiered on November 13th.

Jon Bernthal is back on Netflix with a new show, marking a significant return for the actor who previously starred in popular series like Daredevil and The Punisher. He originally gained recognition as Frank Castle/The Punisher in those Marvel/Netflix shows, and recently reprised the role in season one of Daredevil: Born Again, as well as Spider-Man: Brand New Day. He’s also slated to appear in an upcoming Punisher special on Disney+.
Tessa Thompson is familiar with playing the same character across multiple films, having portrayed Valkyrie in several Marvel Cinematic Universe movies. However, her new series, His & Hers, is quite different. Unlike the ongoing nature of the Marvel films, His & Hers is designed as a single-season limited series, telling a complete story in just six episodes.
