Since its release in 2023, Hogwarts Legacy hasn’t had much downloadable content. However, PlayStation 5 players did get exclusive access to a special quest at launch called “Minding Your Own Business,” which the community often refers to as the Haunted Hogsmeade shop quest.
When it first launched, limiting the “Haunted Hogsmeade” quest to PlayStation 5 caused some debate. However, over time, it’s become known as one of the best quests in the game. It stands out because it’s genuinely scary, bringing a level of horror that you don’t often find elsewhere in Hogwarts Legacy. Now available on all platforms and in every version of the game, players consistently recommend it.
Hogwarts Legacy Players Think The Quest Is “Cursed”
The Haunted Hogsmeade quest features some spooky moments, including occasional jump scares, which are relatively rare in Hogwarts Legacy. One Reddit user, SageoftheForlornPath, even joked that the quest feels genuinely cursed.
Players generally agree that this quest was incredibly frightening, and many found it enjoyably scary. One player, me_and_qui, specifically disliked the mannequins, while Imaginary_Error87 explained that the unpredictable attacks – some mannequins attacked, but most didn’t – were so unsettling they immediately started destroying every mannequin they saw.
Okay, so this quest… it’s seriously scary, but a lot of us, like Wandering-in-Hell, are calling it the best one in Hogwarts Legacy. It starts off normal enough, but trust me, it’s anything but simple. Most of the other side quests in Hogsmeade are pretty quick, but this one? It’s a long, intense ride filled with genuinely creepy moments. Honestly, most of us went in totally unprepared for what was about to happen!
As a huge Hogwarts Legacy fan, I have to say the Haunted Hogsmeade quest is a real highlight! Honestly, by that point in the game, a lot of the side quests feel a bit…samey. But this one? It’s genuinely challenging and so much more interesting than most. It’s one of the most memorable quests in the whole game, and I seriously recommend checking it out if you haven’t already!
