2025 delivered some fantastic horror movies, and we’re excited to see what 2026 brings. We just received the trailer for ‘Hokum,’ and it looks genuinely frightening.
Novelist Ohm Bauman, a private man, travels to a secluded Irish inn to scatter his parents’ ashes. He begins to be affected by local stories of a witch said to haunt one of the rooms. As strange visions and a mysterious disappearance occur, Ohm is forced to face a terrifying reckoning with his past.
The movie features Adam Scott, Peter Coonan, David Wilmot, and Austin Amelio. The teaser trailer is intensely frightening and filled with disturbing visuals.
Black Bear, the company releasing this film, has a strong track record with critically acclaimed and popular movies like The Son, Dumb Money, Ferrari, Origin, Immaculate, Long Legs, and the Oscar-winning Conclave. Given their history, this film – based on the trailer – definitely looks promising and worth checking out.
