Originally released as DLC for the game “Hollow Knight,” and famously known for taking forever to be released, the game “Hollow Knight: Silksong” by Team Cherry is now officially available. It’s playable across various platforms including Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PC, Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and even Nintendo Switch 2. You can also find it on Game Pass.
It’s quite amusing that the release of “Silksong” seemingly overwhelmed Steam, making it challenging for people like me to access its store page or even purchase the game from their cart. A glance at the SteamDB page suggests that the sequel is handling an unusually high volume of traffic, implying that the actual player count may be more than what’s being reported.
Apart from Steam, numerous other platforms have encountered issues since the release of ‘Silksong’. Even attempting to buy it on Xbox, Nintendo Switch 2, and Steam has proven challenging for The Verge’s Tom Warren. However, servers tend to smooth out with time, so keep an eye out for updates.
The search begins! Hollow Knight: Silksong is now accessible on all platforms, with its debut also happening on day one for Xbox Game Pass!
