As a huge fan of Hollow Knight, I was a little worried when Team Cherry said they were working on more content – I thought we’d be waiting years again! But thankfully, it doesn’t look like that’s happening. They just announced Sea of Sorrow, a completely free expansion coming out next year! I’ve already checked out the first teaser trailer, and it looks amazing!
Okay, so details are still pretty thin on the ground, but the new Hollow Knight DLC, Sea of Sorrow, is going to be all about the ocean! We’re getting new areas to explore, cool tools to help us find secrets, and, of course, some tough new bosses to take down. Team Cherry is being super secretive, as usual, but they did say we’ll get more info before it drops. Honestly, knowing them, that probably means we’ll hear about it right before it’s available – classic Team Cherry move!
In the meantime, for those who waited years for the Metroidvania, reset the clock.
Hollow Knight: Silksong is coming to Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, PC, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. It will also be available through Xbox Game Pass. If you’re interested, you can read our review of the original Hollow Knight game.
