To start off, let me mention that you have the opportunity to acquire a Simple Key rather quickly. This item can be purchased from Pebb, who’s located at Bone Bottom. It’s worth noting that there are other places where Simple Keys can be found, but this location offers the earliest and most convenient access.

If the cost of 500 Rosaries is too steep for your current budget, then this might not be the best time to purchase it. Alternatively, you could consider collecting or earning Rosaries if you want to acquire it immediately.

Note that a Simple Key can unlock more than just this door, but it’s the only one leading to the Wormways (as far as we currently know). So, if you’re considering saving the key for another door, be aware of this. Rest assured, though, there should be enough Simple Keys available to open all doors, so don’t fret about which one to choose.

At the end of the discussion, it’s suggested to acquire the Swift Step ability if you haven’t already. You might come across it during your exploration of the Deep Docks, which is a part of the main storyline. Wormways Door Location

To find the entrance to Wormways, navigate your way to the higher left corner in the Bone Bottom region. Take a right and proceed to The Marrow, then continue upward to Mosshome. Afterward, simply move to the left from the bench there, leading you to a room identified on the map above.

If you’ve visited the location before, you might have used the convenient shortcut elevator already. To access it again, simply move slightly to the left of Bone Bottom and wait for the elevator to descend. Once it does, hop onto the elevator to make your way to the spot indicated on the map.

Upon arrival, look for two steel cages situated slightly to your left at a distance. To access them, perform a jump and use Swift Step in mid-flight if available. In case you don’t have Swift Step, you can leap onto the airborne enemies, attack downward as you land on them – it might be tougher, but it’s doable!

Either way, platform across until you reach the exit on the leftmost side of this area.

Dealing With the Acid Spitter!

Afterwards, you’ll find yourself in a large room with an enormous enemy hovering on the ceiling above you. Every few seconds, it shoots acid at you, causing 2 points of damage. To dodge these attacks, simply use the Swift Step ability to quickly move to the left and stay beneath the platforms for safety. It’s that straightforward.

Remember, you have the option to defeat this foe if you prefer, but it may take some time during initial stages. Instead, consider hiding beneath a platform and emerge between its attacks. Execute an upward jump followed by an attack to strike it. Each engagement yields 1 or 2 hits. In return, you’ll receive a Beast Shard item. Once ingested, this grants 140 Shell Shards… not exactly an impressive payout, would you agree?

Either way, continue left to exit the long room.

Jump over the gap to get to the stone door situated on the left side of the newly entered room. Use the Simple Key on that door to open up the Wormways region for you to investigate in Hollow Knight: Silksong. That’s it in a nutshell!
