Owen Warner, known for his role in Hollyoaks, will be starring in the West End play Witness for the Prosecution this March. This will be his first time performing on stage as the main character.
This Agatha Christie play is her second-longest running, surpassed only by ‘The Mousetrap’. It has been performed at London’s County Hall since 2017.
This play, adapted from the 1925 story “Traitor Hands,” centers on Leonard Vole, a young man on trial for the cold-blooded murder of a wealthy widow. Though he claims he didn’t do it, the evidence and the actions of others seem determined to convict him.
As the trial progresses and hidden truths come to light, the jury – actually members of the audience – will determine Leonard’s destiny.

Actor Owen Warner, famous for his roles in the TV shows Hollyoaks and I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! (where he was a finalist in 2022), is making his stage debut as the character Vole.
Starting March 17th, the actor will be performing with a new group of cast members, including Eleanor Sutton as Romaine, alongside Simon Cotton, Matthew White, David Whitworth, and Michael Mears.
The team is rounded out by Joe Anthony, Kai Antoine, Andrew Bloomer, Martin Edwards, Oliver Hatfield, Tamsin Heatley, Matthew Hebden, Mark Huckett, Ruchi Rai, Vanessa Sampson, Paul Westwood, and Meimei Young.
The popular play Witness for the Prosecution is performed regularly from Tuesday to Saturday and often sells out. Tickets are available from just £16, and you can read our five-star review to see why it’s so highly recommended.
When and where can I see Witness for the Prosecution?
I’ve got good news for Agatha Christie fans! “Witness for the Prosecution” is continuing its run and you can book tickets all the way through October 2026. They’re performing almost every day of the week – Tuesdays through Sundays, with matinee shows on Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Definitely worth checking out if you’re looking for a classic whodunnit!
The event will be held at County Hall on London’s Southbank. You can easily reach it by tube: get off at Westminster (Circle, District, or Jubilee lines) or Waterloo (Bakerloo, Northern, Waterloo & City, or Jubilee lines). If you’re traveling from outside London, Southeastern and South Western trains both go directly to Waterloo or Waterloo East.
