One of Home and Away‘s beloved couples, Darryl ‘Brax’ Braxton and Erica ‘Ricky’ Sharpe, portrayed by Stephen Peacocke and Bonnie Sveen respectively, are coming back to the show ten years after their departure, making a high-profile comeback.
The duo is scheduled to return for a notable occasion slated for 2026, which they’ll be collaborating with Tourism Western Australia on.
As stated in the press release, the upcoming event promises an exciting exploration of where characters Brax and Ricky have ended up since 2016. It offers suspenseful drama with poignant moments, all set amidst the breathtaking landscapes of Western Australia’s rugged outback.
Peacocke expressed his heartfelt gratitude in a statement, acknowledging that ‘Home and Away’ played a pivotal role in kick-starting his career. He also expressed deep appreciation for the fans who have supported him throughout his professional journey.
As a follower, when the producers proposed a return to the character of Brax, it felt like an exciting prospect – one I believe the audience will thoroughly appreciate.
As a cinephile relishing my latest adventure, I must say that the chance to capture the breathtaking expanse of Western Australia’s rugged outback served as the perfect cherry on top of an already enticing project. It was truly the icing on the cake for my return to filmmaking.

While discussing the opportunity, Sveen expressed her surprise, mentioning that reprising the role of Ricky wasn’t something she had ever anticipated. However, she was overwhelmingly excited to reconnect with familiar faces on the soap opera.
Discussing what their lives have become over the past decade will create a unique and captivating plotline – I’m incredibly excited for our filming journey in Western Australia, she shared.
Fans will recall Brax as a charming head of the River Boys and Ricky as a tough-minded lady who eventually won his heart. In their final scene from 2016, they were seen leaving together with the sun setting behind them.
Starring in their respective roles, both actors received awards for their exceptional performances. Peacocke amassed an impressive four Logies over his five-year tenure on the show, while Brax made it to the 4th spot in TV WEEK’s 2023 list of top 100 influential Australian television characters ever created.

The prize is an exciting 8-night trip to explore Western Australia’s Coral Coast in October. This adventure includes getting an insider’s view of the Home and Away set.
