Homura Hime launches March 4

The fast-paced 3D action game Homura Hime is coming to PC via Steam on March 4th, according to publisher PLAYISM and developer Crimson Dusk.

Okay, so I’ve been playing Homura Hime, and it’s seriously cool! It’s a bullet-hell action game, played from a third-person perspective, and it’s all about fast-paced, combo-heavy fighting. The graphics are amazing – they’re going for a really vibrant anime look, like something hand-drawn. Basically, you’re fighting these powerful Archdemon Girls and tons of monsters using slick melee combat that reminds me a bit of NieR and Devil May Cry. You’ve gotta dodge a ton of attacks and pull off awesome combos to clear each stage. The story is about cleansing this world of corrupted souls and figuring out the mystery behind Homura, the main character – she’s got a pretty interesting backstory!

Okay, so I’m stepping into a world where humans and demons live together, but it’s pretty messed up. Basically, when people die with a lot of baggage – like, really intense regrets or emotions – they can become super powerful demons called Archdemons. These Archdemons are seriously dangerous; they can corrupt everything around them, turning creatures into mindless, aggressive monsters. Now, five of these Archdemons are especially strong – they’re Archdemon Girls, and they’re threatening to tear the whole world apart. That’s where I come in, as Homura Hime, the ‘Flame Princess’ – I’m the strongest exorcist around. Along with my awesome assistant, Ann, I’ve been given a divine mission: hunt down these five Archdemon Girls and their monster armies, and purify this chaotic world before it’s too late. It’s a tough job, but someone’s gotta do it!
