How Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl Halftime Show Made History

Bad Bunny made a good impression with his Super Bowl 2026 Halftime performance.

The halftime show featuring singer DtMF during the February 8th Super Bowl, where the Seattle Seahawks defeated the New England Patriots, broke viewership records. Roc Nation reported that the performance garnered 4.175 billion views worldwide across television, YouTube, and other digital platforms within 24 hours.

Bad Bunny, whose real name is Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, gave his fans a spectacular show. Beyond performances, he surprised the crowd with appearances from stars like Cardi B, Ricky Martin, and Lady Gaga, and even held a wedding ceremony during the concert.

For the happy couple—Eleisa Aparicio and Thomas Wolter—the experience was a dream come true.

I was so moved when Eleisa shared her experience with the New York Times recently. She described getting the opportunity and how the team explained what Benito was looking for – genuine people, honest emotions, and real love. It really stuck with me, and I’ll never forget her describing that feeling.

Even though around 70,000 fans at Levi’s Stadium witnessed the special occasion, along with billions watching on TV, Eleisa said she felt completely calm.

She said seeing her groom instantly calmed her nerves. He shared that he was completely focused on her during the moment.

Bad Bunny, however, wasn’t as easily able to shake off the pre-show jitters.

Okay, seriously, I almost lost it when I heard him say this! He actually admitted in an interview that he’s up at 4 a.m. thinking about the Super Bowl halftime show! Can you believe it? He said he’s been trying not to dwell on it, but it’s just… impossible for him. I totally get it, though! It’s the Super Bowl! I’m losing sleep just thinking about him performing!

He explained he’s been managing his stress by exercising and eating well. Surprisingly, he hasn’t even been playing much dominoes lately.

The 31-year-old quipped, “That’s been killing me, bro.”

All the hard work paid off – Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl halftime show brought a lot of happiness to viewers, just as he’d hoped.

He emphasized the importance of self-acceptance and pride in one’s identity. He also encouraged people to be proud of their roots, but not to let their background hold them back from pursuing their goals. He shared that he feels a strong connection to where he comes from, while also recognizing his potential for growth and future achievements.
