Following the revelation of the 2025 Emmy Award nominees by Harvey Guillén and Brenda Song on July 15, several stars emerged as pioneers for this year.

As a lifestyle expert, I’d put it this way: Bella Ramsey, who has been recognized twice for their outstanding performance in “The Last of Us” in the Drama Series category, made history by becoming the first non-binary actor to receive multiple nominations from the esteemed Television Academy. This groundbreaking achievement is a testament to their talent and the growing inclusivity within the entertainment industry.

This year, Ayo Edebiri achieved a remarkable milestone by being the youngest Black woman to secure three acting nominations for her performance in “The Bear.” Additionally, she made history as the first woman ever to receive acting and directing nominations in the comedy categories during the same year.

As a young actor myself, I, Owen Cooper, made history by being the youngest actor ever nominated in the Best Supporting Actor in a Limited Series category at just 15 years old. Previously, Scott Jacoby held this record for his role in the 1972 TV movie “That Certain Summer” at age 16.

Legends such as Harrison Ford and Kathy Bates are still breaking Emmy records. This year, the actor from “Shrinking” earned his first-ever nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series at the age of 83. Meanwhile, Kathy Bates, known for her role in “Matlock,” became the oldest person ever nominated in the Lead Drama Actress category when she was recognized at 77 for her work in the reboot of CSB. Previously, this record was held by Angela Lansbury, who was nominated at age 70 in 1996 for “Murder She Wrote.

In terms of television shows, it’s worth noting that the previously heavily-awarded series “Severance” was the most recognized with a total of 27 nominations. However, the newly released sitcom “The Studio,” featuring actors like Seth Rogen and Catherine O’Hara, made an impressive debut by garnering the highest number of nominations for a new comedy series ever – a grand total of 23.

In a statement to TopMob News, Seth and producer Evan Goldberg expressed surprise and confusion following their nominations: “We never imagined this would happen! What on earth do we say now? Thank you to our parents, agents, publicists, preschool teachers, managers, The Television Academy, our assistants, and Apple… or do you only thank people if you actually win? Oh dear, we’re already messing up. I guess no comment!

Without hesitation, Jake made sure to acknowledge Maggie Gyllenhaal’s spouse as well.

I’d like to offer a heartfelt congratulations to my brother-in-law, Peter Sarsgaard. Not only has he been nominated, but he delivers an impressive performance on the show as well.

Catherine, who was nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actress, excitedly expressed her joy to TopMob News over the wonderful individuals on the show. She felt honored to be among them and couldn’t help but feel delighted. Furthermore, she expressed her happiness that Ron Howard and Martin Scorsese are finally receiving long-overdue recognition, thanks to The Studio!

Jason, who was nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for his portrayal of Timothy Ratliff and worked with the talented Mike White, expressed that playing such a complex and lonely character was like the cherry on top of an already fantastic cake. He shared that this role took him on a journey from self-centeredness to humility and joy. Receiving today’s nomination feels like being selected by his peers and honored to be among actors he deeply respects, and he described it as an overwhelmingly surreal experience.

For quite some time now, the well-known comedy pair have shown their excitement about getting nominated for their popular AppleTV+ series. This groundbreaking show garnered an impressive record of 23 nominations as the top new comedy series.

In his message to TopMob News, Dave expressed gratitude towards the Television Academy, Point Grey, and Apple, after being nominated for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series. Interestingly, he noted that this first nomination came from portraying himself under the influence of alcohol, marijuana, cocaine, and mushrooms.

In a live response, the actress from “Nobody Wants This” expressed her joy upon receiving a nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series, as well as the show itself, which was produced by Erin Foster, being nominated for Outstanding Comedy Series.

Kristen shared on July 15th, “I discovered I’ve been nominated for an Emmy!” and exclaimed, “And @erinfoster has also been nominated for an Emmy!!!

From being merely a renowned filmmaker, he has now earned an Emmy nomination! The star of ‘The Killers of the Flower Moon’ couldn’t hide his disbelief at the recognition, as seen in a screenshot from a FaceTime call shared by his daughter Francesca Scorsese on Instagram on July 15.

In another post she celebrated her father, adding, “Our little actor.”

Ruth, who was nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited Series or Anthology, expressed her excitement in a statement to TopMob News. She acknowledged that this achievement wouldn’t have been possible without the tireless efforts of the entire cast and crew on Presumed Innocent. Ruth feels deeply appreciative for being nominated for an Emmy, and she is honored to be recognized alongside such immensely gifted artists.

 

Despite receiving another Emmy nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actor, the Saturday Night Live star initially expressed his congratulations to fellow nominee Jeff Hiller on social media. On July 15, he posted an Instagram Story saying, “Emmy Nominee Jeff Hiller, Thank God!

Later on, he also expressed appreciation for being nominated himself, including a picture of the Saturday Night Live team in the message.

“Thank you to the continent of Asia,” he joked. “You’re welcome Asians.”

The Bear actress quickly took to Instagram to react to her second nomination for her role as Tina. 

She expressed her deep gratitude once more in a July 15 Instagram video, saying, “I’m overwhelmed with joy. Thank you so much to everyone who has stood by me, and to the Academy as well.

Since it happened to be her birthday on that very day, she playfully commented in the caption, “This is the best birthday I’ve ever had!

 

Kathryn expressed her immense joy in being nominated for a role at The Studio, which she wrote in a statement to TopMob News. “Seth and Evan, I’m thrilled that you recognized my inner art-killer within me for the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series nomination,” she said. “A big thank you also goes out to Maya Mason and her team – hair, makeup, wardrobe, and nails – for helping bring half of my character to life.

She went on to say, “I’ve found immense pleasure in this experience, and I feel incredibly honored to be among the countless accolades. The company I keep, both in this competition and within this category, are truly my inspirations.

Moreover, although it didn’t win in the primary categories, Kathryn took the opportunity to highlight her other series produced during the previous year.

She excitedly expressed her pride for her stunning team on “Agatha All Along”, remarking how impressed she is with the work they’ve done. Meanwhile, in Dublin, she’s enjoying a second round of beer and admiring the sight of a rainbow before her, expressing gratitude. Wow, thank you!!!!!!

The actress from the show “Matlock,” who received recognition for Outstanding Actress in a Drama Series, expressed gratitude towards CBS executives George Cheeks and Amy Reisenbach, as well as director David Del Rio, for bestowing this honor upon her.

Alan, who has been nominated once more for Outstanding Host For A Reality Or Reality Competition Program, expressed his joy to TopMob News. It’s an honor to be recognized for something he passionately enjoys and collaborates on with dedicated individuals. Twice the joy! Julianne, who received nominations for both Outstanding Supporting Actress for Paradise and Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series, spoke to TopMob News to convey her heartfelt appreciation.

Michael expressed his excitement in a statement, saying, “I’ve already got the best job imaginable, but being acknowledged alongside industry giants like Harrison, Jason, and Jessica is absolutely exhilarating! It’s such a privilege to be an actor and earn a living by portraying the complexities of human nature.
