How Coldplay, Lady Gaga Paid Tribute to Ozzy Osbourne on Their Tours

Lady Gaga will always remember Ozzy Osbourne this way.

As a lifestyle expert, I’d like to share a heartfelt moment that occurred during one of my performances. Just hours after the passing of the iconic Black Sabbath frontman, who went by John Michael Osbourne on July 22nd, I paid tribute to him on stage with a moving rendition of one of his most popular songs. It was an emotional and fitting way to honor his legacy in the world of music.

While performing on her “Mayhem” Tour in San Francisco, the 39-year-old singer unveiled an Ozzy-themed shirt beneath her jacket during their closing act. The performance ended with a tribute to his 1980 hit “Crazy Train”.

Somewhere else, Cyndi Lauper sang Ozzy’s solo debut song during her Raleigh concert that very night. For more than a minute, she played the track from her phone into the microphone and occasionally joined in with the lyrics. As the audience watched, Cyndi activated her phone’s flashlight, and many people in the crowd did the same.

“For Ozzy,” she told the audience. “Turn around, look at us. We’re a community of light.”

Coldplay also followed suit. During their Nashville performance, they paid tribute to Ozzy and played a rendition of Black Sabbath’s 1972 classic “Changes.

Chris Martin expressed to the audience that the entire performance was dedicated to the remarkable individual, a genius, talented artist, and a unique blessing to the world – Ozzy Osbourne. He extended his warmest wishes to Ozzy’s loved ones during this time.

Following the sad news of Ozzy’s demise, shared by his family which comprises his wife Sharon Osbourne, daughters Aimee Osbourne and Kelly Osbourne, son Jack Osbourne, and son Louis Osbourne in a unified statement, numerous celebrities expressed their condolences to the Darkness Prince.

On Instagram, Elton John expressed that he had a cherished friend and groundbreaking figure who became immortalized among rock’s divine beings – an undeniable legend. He added that this individual was one of the most hilarious people he’d ever encountered. Deeply saddened by his passing, he will be greatly missed.

Despite meeting him just a handful of times via Jack, it was evident that Ozzy left a lasting impression on Gavin Rossdale.

In a touching tribute on Instagram, The Bush guitarist expressed, “He was incredibly warm, kind, and hilarious, and I cherish that memory.” He also extended his heartfelt sympathies, saying, “At this challenging moment, my love goes out to his family. May he find eternal peace.

Shortly thereafter, Sharon, 72, left a comment on the post, simply writing, “Bless you.”
