Cristiano Ronaldo has the perfect teammate in life.

The soccer star recently spoke about how he and his fiancée, Georgina Rodríguez, helped each other cope with the heartbreaking loss of their baby son, Angel, who was the twin of their now 3-year-old daughter, Bella. He said the experience brought them even closer as a couple.

Cristiano Ronaldo recently shared that he and his family have a strong, supportive bond. Speaking on Piers Morgan Uncensored, he explained that like any relationship, they experience both good and bad times, but these challenges have ultimately brought them closer together.

The 40-year-old shared his thoughts on relationships, noting that all of them have their ups and downs. He advised finding balance in all aspects of a relationship – both the good times and the bad – and returning to core principles to maintain stability.

Despite the pain he was going through, Cristiano—who is a father to Cristiano Jr., 15, twins Eva Maria and Mateo, 8, and daughter Alana, 7, with Georgina—said he also learned important lessons during that time.

He said it was a valuable experience because he gained a lot of new insights. He realized there were many different ways to look at life. Now, his three-year-old daughter brings joy and is the center of their family.

You know, I’ve always lived by the idea that everything happens for a reason, and it’s really helped me through life. It’s given me such a sense of gratitude, and I truly feel my family is incredibly blessed. I’m so proud of the life we’ve built together.

Cristiano proposed to Georgina in August after eight years as a couple, and he believes she is his perfect partner.

He said he loves how much she does for others. He feels she’s special because she always looks after him, and that means a lot. She also takes wonderful care of their family and home, which is a lot of work.

He explained that she’s special to him because he’s attracted to her personality and physical appearance. He also appreciates that she understands him, which is exactly what he wants in a partner.

Cristiano Ronaldo first met Georgina Rodríguez in 2016 while she was working at a Gucci store in Madrid. At the time, he hadn’t imagined she would become the love of his life.

He knew he attracted a lot of women, but he also suspected many of them were only interested in him for what he could offer.

Georgina says her partner is wonderful and down-to-earth. She playfully admits she always hoped for a ‘Prince Charming,’ and feels she’s found him.

For years, it wasn’t certain what Cristiano officially called Georgina – wife or princess. He publicly called her his wife well before she received a large diamond engagement ring in August 2025.

Cristiano Ronaldo Jr. was born on June 17, 2010, while his father was playing in the World Cup in South Africa. As soon as Portugal was eliminated from the tournament, Ronaldo immediately traveled to be with his newborn son.

And Cristiano proceeded to raise him as a single dad.

He happily announced the birth of his son on social media, sharing that he is now a father. He also stated that he has full custody of the baby, respecting the mother’s wish to remain anonymous.

When the family relocated to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in 2023 after Cristiano Ronaldo signed a $200 million annual contract with Al Nassr FC, his son, Cristiano Jr., began training with the Al Nassr Academy’s Under-15 team.

Although his oldest son hopes to become a professional soccer player – something Cristiano would be thrilled about – he’s careful not to push him towards that goal.

It’s tough to give this generation instructions and then let them figure things out, the athlete explained in a September 2024 podcast. He said his kids constantly notice his work ethic. ‘They see me working all the time—at home, during training, or in games,’ he shared, ‘and they tell me, ‘My dad works a lot!’ They’re aware of it.’

Regarding his son, Cristiano Jr., he’s fourteen and already feels the pressure of being Cristiano Ronaldo’s son. I want him to be allowed to develop naturally. I hope he becomes a professional footballer, but if not, I’ll support whatever he chooses to do. It’s important not to put too much pressure on our children just because we’re well-known.

Although Georgina met Cristiano when his son, Cristiano Jr., was already six years old, she loves and considers him to be just as much her son as their children born later.

When her son turned fourteen in 2024, she shared a birthday message on Instagram, writing, “Happy Birthday to my big boy…I love you to the moon and back!” He certainly lived up to the ‘big’ description – in a video of him opening gifts, he was already taller than her, and even had a Louis Vuitton rolling suitcase.

Cristiano and Georgina had been together for around seven months when his twins, Mateo and Eva Maria Ronaldo, were born on June 8, 2017, through surrogacy.

A few weeks after their birth, he shared the first photo of his newborn son and daughter, writing, ‘I’m so happy to finally hold my two new loves.’

Georgina is now a mother to Cristiano Ronaldo’s three oldest children. In a 2024 interview with Vogue Mexico, she shared that being a mom is the most fulfilling thing in her life and her top priority, saying that she feels happiest and most complete when spending time with her family.

In a November 2022 interview with Piers Morgan, Cristiano Ronaldo shared that his children understand what happened, recalling instances where they would excitedly tell him, ‘Daddy, I did this for Ángel,’ and point upwards. He appreciates this deeply, as it shows his son is still a part of their lives. Ronaldo explained that he always tells his children the truth, even when it’s hard, and that being honest with them was a challenging but necessary process.

Georgina recently shared a sweet video of her youngest daughter, Bella, enjoying a school performance with her family in December 2024. Bella seemed happy and content while sitting on her mom’s lap.

In the Netflix series, Georgina shared that watching her children grow up happy and spending time with her family is the greatest gift she could ask for. She expressed immense joy in the family they’ve built and described her children as wonderful, even admitting she thinks they’re perfect and a dream to raise.
