Derek Hough is keeping his baby girl right next to his heart.

Derek Hough, a professional dancer on Dancing With the Stars, recently shared a sweet tribute to his newborn daughter, Everley Capri Hough. Shortly after announcing Everley’s birth, he posted a picture of himself wearing a silver necklace featuring the Capricorn symbol – Everley’s zodiac sign.

Derek shared a post on January 5th with the caption “New chain,” accompanied by a pink heart emoji. He also updated his Instagram bio to “girl dad,” a sweet reference to his daughter.

Derek and Hayley, who got married in 2023, recently announced the birth of their daughter, Everly, and shared a sweet first glimpse of her little feet.

Oh my gosh, you guys, they finally posted! It was January 5th, but the caption said “December 29, 2025” – so precious! It was a picture of their hands holding tiny little Everley Capri Hough’s feet! I literally started crying when I read the caption. They said, “Every step of our lives has led us to you.” Seriously, my heart! And then, “Our hearts have been cracked wide open and our world is forever changed.” I just knew this baby would change everything, and they’re so right! I’m completely obsessed with little Everley already!

Friends and family were overjoyed to welcome the couple’s new baby girl, showering her with love and affection.

Derek’s sister, Julianne Hough, and longtime friend, Mark Ballas, both commented on the announcement of Everley’s birth. Julianne wrote a welcoming message, calling Everley a “sweet angel,” and Mark simply said, “She’s Perfect.”

Derek and Hayley received heartfelt congratulations from their Dancing with the Stars family. Val Chmerkovskiy praised them for creating their “greatest creation yet,” while Emma Slater expressed her excitement to meet their new baby.

It was so wonderful to see all the love for Hayley and Derek when their daughter arrived! Hayley has said they’re not really planning a strict parenting style, though – they’re just going to take things as they come and figure it out along the way, which I think is really refreshing.

Hayley, who is due to give birth any day now, shared some surprising advice she received: don’t take anyone else’s parenting advice. In an interview with TopMob News, she explained that everyone will offer opinions, but ultimately, you know what’s best for your own child.
