Wake up, Hilary Duff is addressing those mom group allegations.
Following Ashley Tisdale’s honest essay in The Cut about ending a difficult friendship with other mothers, the Younger actress discussed how she deals with being a public figure.
Honestly, dealing with this level of media attention isn’t new to me at all. I’ve been experiencing it since I was around 15, when the paparazzi started following me. It’s just that everything – my life and the lives of everyone I’m close to – gets put on display for the world to see, and I’m used to it now. I recently shared this with the Los Angeles Times.
She explained that news stories tend to focus on unusual cases, not the experiences of everyday people who might have started acting later in life. This is made worse by TikTok commentators who create sensationalized content to attract views. It’s frustrating because sometimes they get things right, and other times they clearly don’t understand the situation.
And in case you were wondering, the Lizzie McGuire alum has seen every bit of the chatter.
She remembered overhearing someone say that none of the other mothers or teachers at school seemed to care for her. However, she quickly added that she actually thought all the women at the school were wonderful and she adored them.
It’s amazing to watch her juggle everything! She’s a mom to four incredible kids – Banks, who’s 7, Mae, who’s 4, little Townes who’s almost two, and her oldest, Luca, who’s 13. She shares Banks, Mae, and Townes with her husband Matthew Koma, and Luca with her ex, Mike Comrie. Honestly, I’m always impressed by how she manages all the attention and gossip while still being such a present mom.

Hilary said it really just varies depending on how she’s feeling. What truly matters to her is being able to spend time with her family – playing soccer, relaxing in the hot tub, and even collecting fresh eggs. When things get stressful, she focuses on finding peace and quiet at home.
These statements follow Ashley’s explanation, given almost two months ago, for why she was distancing herself from her close-knit group of mothers. Ashley shares two children – Jupiter, age 4, and Emerson, 16 months – with her husband, Christopher French.
The founder of Frenshe, now known as Ashley French, didn’t mention anyone specifically, but she has previously shared photos and stories of spending time with several celebrity mothers, including Hilary Duff, Meghan Trainor, and Mandy Moore.

She was initially really impressed with the other moms in her group and everything they were up to. However, things changed when Ashley realized she wasn’t being included in their get-togethers.
In a recent essay for The Cut, Ashley explained how she initially tried to brush off feelings of being excluded. She reasoned that people were entitled to socialize without her, and there could be valid reasons she wasn’t included. She acknowledged everyone was busy and told herself her feelings weren’t significant.
Eventually, she began to believe the group had deliberately excluded her. Before she stopped interacting with them, Ashley shared a final message from their group chat.
She texted the group, saying it felt too immature and she wanted to withdraw from whatever they were discussing.

In January 2024, Bobby addressed speculation about a disagreement with Tan, following his announcement in November 2023 that he was leaving Queer Eye after eight seasons. (Bobby is pictured second from left.)
He told Vanity Fair that he and Tan are doing okay. He explained they went through a personal issue, but it wasn’t related to their work on the show, and it wasn’t a romantic one. He emphasized that it was something that had been building up between the two of them privately.
In March 2024, Tan addressed claims that he tried to get his friend Jeremiah Brent to replace Bobby on the show Queer Eye.
Netflix and the production team held extensive auditions. I didn’t recommend my friend for the role, but they ultimately earned it because they were the most qualified. I also want to clarify that I didn’t help them get the part by having another actor removed from consideration, as he explained in an Instagram post.

During a September 2023 game of “Stir the Pot” with her daughter, Kelly Osbourne, on TopMob News, Sharon Osbourne revealed that actor Danny Masterson, known from “That ’70s Show,” was the rudest celebrity she’d ever encountered. She described him as a very rude and unpleasant person.
He did not respond to her remarks publicly.
Five years ago, Sharon shared with Larry King that Ashton seemed upset during his 2014 appearance on The Talk after she mispronounced his name.
She remembered him asking, ‘Who are you and what have you accomplished in this business?’ Her response was blunt: ‘Listen, don’t challenge me, because I’ll completely overwhelm you.’ She essentially told him, ‘You have no idea who you’re talking to.’

In August 2022, Cassadee Pope and Maren Morris publicly disagreed with Brittany Aldean, wife of country singer Jason Aldean. This followed a post Brittany shared on Instagram on August 23rd, where she thanked her parents for not allowing her to transition during a phase where she preferred traditionally masculine interests, stating she enjoyed her current feminine lifestyle.

In a 2022 TikTok trend, JoJo Siwa called Candace Cameron Bure the “rudest” celebrity she’d met, explaining that Bure had once declined to pose for a photo with her at a red carpet event. Shortly after, Cameron Bure apologized publicly, saying she regretted hurting Siwa’s feelings as a young fan and expressing her remorse for not taking the picture.
Candace and the other person resolved their differences. However, when asked months later if her network, Great American Family, would ever feature same-sex couples as the main characters in its holiday films, she stated it wouldn’t, explaining that the network would continue to focus on traditional marriage.
JoJo, who publicly shared they are part of the LGBTQ+ community in 2021, said on Instagram that the actress’s comment was offensive and damaging to many people.

In June 2021, Courtney Love claimed Olivia Rodrigo had copied the album cover art of her band, Hole, for a promotional image without proper credit. Olivia responded with a message of support, saying, “Love u and live through this sooooo much.” Courtney then playfully replied, “Olivia – you’re welcome! My favorite florist is in Notting Hill, London! DM me if you’d like the details! I look forward to reading your note [winking face emoji].”

While on Watch What Happens Live, the Happy Days actor explained the reason he and the Forrest Gump star didn’t get along while filming their 1989 movie, Turner & Hooch.
I directed the movie for thirteen days, and then Jeff Katzenberg, the producer, called me into his office and told me to pack up and go home, as I had everything I needed with me, he said.
Winkler and Hanks’ dog seemed to get along famously. “I really loved that dog,” Winkler said, “we had a great connection.”
He also refused to admit if he’s even seen the flick.

“You know what you did!”
Anyone who watched The Hills likely remembers that famous line from Lauren, spoken at the start of season three. The drama between them began when Heidi started dating Spencer Pratt, and it escalated when Lauren claimed Heidi and Spencer spread a false rumor about her and her boyfriend at the time, Jason Wahler, alleging they had made a sex tape.

Tyrese and Dwayne Johnson had a public falling out in 2017 after the release date for Fast & Furious 9 was delayed until April 2020. On the same day, a spin-off movie featuring Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham was announced, set to release in 2019. The next month, Tyrese said he would leave Fast 9 if Dwayne Johnson was still involved.
Tyrese recently discussed the long-standing conflict with Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, telling Van Lathan on The Red Pill podcast that he still hasn’t spoken to Johnson directly, though they plan to. He did mention having a conversation with one of Johnson’s producing partners, but not with Johnson himself.
Tyrese admitted he shouldn’t have publicly shared frustrations he heard from others connected to the franchise. He explained he was the one who spoke out, which he now recognizes was unprofessional and a mistake.

No more bad blood here.
Taylor Swift and Katy Perry had a long-running public disagreement, rumored to be the inspiration behind Swift’s song “Bad Blood.” The conflict, which supposedly began due to a dispute over a dancer and competition between their concert tours, ended when Perry sent Swift an actual olive branch as a peace offering before Swift’s Reputation Tour began.
Taylor shared on Instagram that she found a real olive branch in her dressing room, saying it meant a lot to her.
Taylor captioned the video, “Thank you Katy.”

For years, Kim Cattrall and Sarah Jessica Parker, stars of Sex and the City, dismissed rumors of a disagreement. However, those rumors resurfaced when Kim chose not to participate in a third movie and made some pointed comments about her co-star.
During a September 2017 episode of Watch What Happens Live, Andy Cohen asked Sarah Jessica Parker how she felt about Kim Cattrall telling Piers Morgan they had only ever been colleagues, not friends.
She said she was just devastated. They had talked about it all week, and she was really bothered because that wasn’t how she remembered things happening.
It just breaks my heart to see everything happening, but honestly, what really matters to me is that we all shared something incredible. It wasn’t just a job, you know? It was years of our lives, and that bond… that’s what I keep focusing on. I really hope that those years, creating something special that meant so much to people, will overshadow all the recent drama. It was such a gift to be a part of it, truly a privilege to work on something people connected with so deeply.
And though they didn’t film scenes together, Kim did make a small appearance on And Just Like That.

Elton John and Madonna have been publicly disagreeing since 2004. The conflict began when Elton, while accepting an award, criticized Madonna’s live performances. He famously told the audience, “Madonna, best live act? That’s ridiculous! Since when is pretending to sing live considered a real performance?” He added that anyone who pretends to sing on stage, especially when people have paid to see them, deserves a harsh consequence.

The actress, formerly on Grey’s Anatomy, caused a disagreement with the show’s creator back in 2008 when she asked to no longer be considered for an Emmy Award. She explained that she didn’t think the storylines she was given were strong enough to deserve a nomination.
Shonda Rhimes discussed Katherine Heigl’s departure in a 2012 interview with Oprah Winfrey on Oprah’s Next Chapter. She admitted it was both hurtful and expected. “When someone consistently demonstrates their true character, you should believe it,” Rhimes explained. “I’ve really taken that to heart, and it’s been a valuable lesson for me.”

The fight between Nicki and Cardi at the Harper’s Bazaar Icon party during New York Fashion Week made headlines everywhere. A month later, Cardi explained what started the argument with Nicki.
Cardi B told W magazine that another person has been repeatedly criticizing her. They had talked twice before and seemed to resolve things, but the criticism continued.
The conflict truly escalated when Cardi B noticed Nicki Minaj had supposedly reacted to a tweet criticizing Cardi’s parenting, though Nicki claims she didn’t actually engage with it.
As a mom, my daughter always comes first. I had a huge opportunity with the Bruno Mars tour – we’re talking major financial success – but I chose to prioritize being there for her. I’m incredibly proud of being a good mom, and it really bothered me that someone without kids would criticize my choices. Honestly, you don’t get these chances to connect with artists you admire every day – I wasn’t going to pass up that moment just because it was at a party. Opportunities like that don’t just fall into your lap!

The conflict between Kanye West and Taylor Swift began in 2009 when he interrupted her acceptance speech at the MTV Video Music Awards. They eventually reconciled and became friends, but their relationship fell apart in 2016 after Kanye released his song “Famous,” which included a reference to Taylor.
Just before the Grammys in February 2025, Kanye West began following only Taylor Swift on Instagram. He didn’t offer any explanation for the action, and Swift didn’t publicly acknowledge it.

“I don’t know her.”
The rumored rivalry between Mariah Carey and Jennifer Lopez began in 2003 during a German television interview. When asked about Jennifer Lopez, Mariah responded simply, “I don’t know her.”
