Nick Pasqual, known from a previous TV appearance, has been sentenced for stabbing his ex-girlfriend. This happened despite a restraining order being in place against him and shortly after he was released from jail on bail.
ABC6 News reported that Pasqual was convicted of attempted murder for the 2024 stabbing of his ex-girlfriend, Allie Shehorn, a Hollywood makeup artist. Shehorn suffered over 20 stab wounds and was discovered covered in blood. The jury reached a guilty verdict last month, and Pasqual was sentenced to prison on June 2nd.
Nick Pasqual Had a Restraining Order When He Stabbed Allie Shehorn
Before the stabbing, Shehorn had requested a restraining order against Pasqual, claiming he was abusive. Prosecutors said Pasqual broke into Shehorn’s Los Angeles home around 4:30 a.m. on May 23, 2024, and seriously injured her during a domestic dispute.
Pasqual stabbed Shehorn and then fled the state. He was caught at a border patrol checkpoint in Sierra Blanca, Texas. Reports indicate Pasqual had been released from jail on a $50,000 bond only five days earlier.
Shehorn testified in court that she and Pasqual had a physical fight before the stabbing, and that the fight led to them ending their relationship.
Shehorn testified that after she locked the door, the man began punching it, eventually breaking it open. She then ran into the bathroom, hoping to lock that door as well.
District Attorney Nathan J. Hochman announced that Nick Pasqual was sentenced to 32 years to life in prison for the violent crimes he committed against his former partner, Allie Shehorn. Ms. Shehorn remarkably survived the attack and bravely testified against Pasqual in court, providing key evidence that led to his conviction and ensures he won’t be able to harm others.
Nick Pasqual Is Appealing the Sentence
Shehorn worked as a department head for makeup and special effects in Hollywood films, including 2022’s Babylon and several other projects.
Pasqual was featured in Season 7 of a show and has also had several minor roles, including a part in Zack Snyder’s film, Rebel Moon – Part One: A Child of Fire.
Pasqual is challenging the court’s decision and released a statement to Entertainment Weekly after being sentenced. He expressed deep sadness about the entire situation and hopes everyone involved can find healing. He thanked those who have supported him and stated his commitment to staying sober, continuing his recovery, taking responsibility for his actions, and pursuing the appeal respectfully.
