How Katy Perry Is Proving There’s No More Bad Blood With Taylor Swift

Katy Perry is enchanted by Taylor Swift‘s new album.

Okay, so you won’t believe this! After years of what felt like a total rivalry, I’m seeing some amazing things happen. Katy Perry, known for her hit ‘Roar,’ just publicly showed support for Taylor Swift’s re-recorded album, *The Life of a Showgirl*. It’s so refreshing to see these two powerhouses celebrating each other – a great reminder that even after disagreements, positivity can prevail. It feels like a real turning point, and I’m here for it!

On October 10th, Katy Perry posted a screenshot to her Instagram Stories showing she was listening to a song called “Eldest Daughter” from her upcoming album.

Oh my gosh, Katy Perry has been the *sweetest* since she and Taylor finally made up! It’s amazing because, you know, their feud apparently started way back in 2014 over something silly – backup dancers, can you believe it?! But then, at the beginning of Taylor’s Reputation tour in 2018, Katy sent her an actual olive branch! It was so cute and a sign they were moving past everything. Since then, she’s been there for so many of Taylor’s big moments, cheering her on, and it just makes my heart so happy to see them supporting each other!

Actually, back in 2024, the former *American Idol* judge enjoyed Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour in Australia from the VIP section.

Katy shared in a TikTok video posted by Capital on January 17th that she had a day off before the show and decided to go. Both she and the person she went with were really excited about it.

And it’s safe to say the 40-year-old was down bad over the three-hour spectacle.

Katy said she really enjoyed herself, adding that the friendly atmosphere of the crowd made it even better. She described it as a warm and welcoming community, and was thrilled to reconnect with a friend she cares about deeply.

Taylor, who famously invited Katy to make peace in her 2019 “You Need to Calm Down” music video, is also happy they’ve resolved their differences. She’s said that repairing their relationship felt like a weight lifted.

We’d been doing well and were in a good place for a while, but we weren’t sure if we’d ever go public with it,” she explained in a 2019 interview with Capital Breakfast in the UK. “We wanted to be completely secure in our relationship first before sharing it with everyone else.

In January 2024, Bobby addressed speculation about a rift with Tan, following his announcement in November 2023 that he was leaving *Queer Eye* after eight seasons. (Bobby is pictured second from left.)

He told *Vanity Fair* that he and Tan are doing okay despite a personal issue. He emphasized that the situation was between the two of them, unrelated to their work on the show, and wasn’t a romantic matter.

In March 2024, Tan addressed claims that he tried to get his friend Jeremiah Brent to replace Bobby on the show *Queer Eye*.

Netflix and the production team held a thorough audition process. I didn’t recommend my friend for the role, but they ultimately landed it because they were the most qualified. I also want to clarify that I didn’t help them get the job by having anyone else removed from consideration, as I shared on Instagram.

After years of speculation about a conflict between them, Holly Marie Combs, Shannen Doherty’s former co-star on *Charmed*, revealed in a December 2023 podcast episode that Alyssa Milano supposedly gave a show producer an ultimatum: choose her or Shannen. Combs claims this led to Shannen’s departure from the show in 2001.

In a February 2024 Instagram post, Alyssa stated she couldn’t get anyone fired and claimed that any current accounts of the events were simply inaccurate retellings of something that happened a long time ago.

At a MegaCon Orlando panel, Shannen stated that, to her knowledge, the events as they remember them are accurately portrayed and there’s no attempt to rewrite history.

Shannen passed away in July 2024 after a yearslong battle with cancer.

During a September 2023 game of “Stir the Pot” with her daughter, Kelly Osbourne, on TopMob News, Sharon Osbourne described actor Danny Masterson—best known for *That ’70s Show*—as the rudest celebrity she’d ever encountered. She called him a “rude little boy” and a “dastardly little thing.”

He did not respond to her remarks publicly.

Five years ago, Sharon shared with Larry King that Ashton seemed annoyed when he was a guest on *The Talk* in 2014, after she mispronounced his name.

She remembered him asking, ‘Who are you and what have you accomplished in this field?’ Her response was blunt: ‘Listen, don’t challenge me, because I’ll completely destroy you.’ She essentially told him, ‘You have no idea who you’re talking to.’

In August 2022, Cassadee Pope and Maren Morris publicly disagreed with Brittany Aldean, wife of country singer Jason Aldean, after Brittany posted a video on Instagram. In the video, posted on August 23rd, Brittany thanked her parents for not allowing her to transition during a phase where she preferred traditionally masculine interests, stating she enjoyed being feminine.

In a 2022 TikTok post, JoJo Siwa called Candace Cameron Bure the “rudest” celebrity she’d ever met, explaining that Bure once turned down her request for a photo on the red carpet. Soon after, Cameron Bure apologized publicly, saying she regretted hurting Siwa’s feelings when she was younger and was truly sorry for not taking the picture.

Candace and the other person resolved their differences. However, when asked months later if her network, Great American Family, would ever feature same-sex couples as the main characters in its holiday films, she stated it wouldn’t, explaining that the network would continue to focus on traditional marriage.

JoJo, who publicly shared they are part of the LGBTQ+ community in 2021, responded to the actress’ comment on Instagram, calling it “rude and hurtful to an entire community.”

In June 2021, Courtney Love claimed Olivia Rodrigo had copied the album cover art of her band, Hole, for a promotional photo without proper credit. Olivia responded with a message of support, saying, “Love u and live through this sooooo much.” Courtney then playfully replied, thanking Olivia and offering to share the contact information for her favorite florist in London, hinting she expected a thank-you note in return.

While on *Watch What Happens Live*, the actor from *Happy Days* explained why he and the star of *Forrest Gump* didn’t get along while filming their 1989 movie, *Turner & Hooch*.

I directed the movie for thirteen days, and then Jeff Katzenberg, the producer, called me into his office and told me to go home, saying I had everything I needed.

Winkler and Hanks’ dog seemed to get along very well. “I really loved that dog,” Winkler said.

He also refused to admit if he’s even seen the flick.

“You know what you did!”

Anyone who watched *The Hills* likely remembers that famous line from Lauren, spoken at the start of season three. The drama between them began when Heidi started dating her future husband, Spencer Pratt. It escalated when Lauren claimed Heidi and Spencer spread a false rumor about her and Jason Wahler involving a sex tape.

Tyrese and Dwayne Johnson had a public falling out after the release date for *Fast & Furious 9* was delayed to April 2020. On the same day, a spin-off movie featuring Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham was announced for 2019. Shortly after, Tyrese said he would leave *Fast 9* if Dwayne Johnson remained involved.

Tyrese recently discussed the long-standing conflict with Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, telling Van Lathan on *The Red Pill* podcast that he still hasn’t spoken to Johnson directly, though he hopes to. He did mention that he had talked with one of Johnson’s producing partners, but not with Johnson himself.

Tyrese admitted he shouldn’t have publicly shared frustrations on behalf of others involved with the franchise. ‘I was the one who spoke up, and that was my mistake,’ he said. ‘It wasn’t professional or the right thing to do.’

No more bad blood here.

Taylor Swift and Katy Perry had a long-running public disagreement, rumored to be the inspiration behind Swift’s song “Bad Blood.” The conflict, which began with issues over a dancer and competition during their tours, ended when Perry sent Swift an olive branch as a peace offering before Swift’s *Reputation* Tour began.

Taylor shared in an Instagram video that she found a real olive branch in her dressing room, saying it meant a lot to her.

Taylor captioned the video, “Thank you Katy.”

For years, Kim Cattrall and Sarah Jessica Parker, stars of *Sex and the City*, successfully dismissed rumors of a disagreement. However, those rumors resurfaced when Kim chose not to participate in a third movie and subsequently made some pointed comments about her co-star.

During a September 2017 episode of *Watch What Happens Live*, Andy Cohen asked Sarah Jessica Parker how she felt about Kim Cattrall telling Piers Morgan they had only ever been colleagues, not friends.

Honestly, hearing her say that just destroyed me. We talked for ages that week, and she just kept saying she was so upset, like it really bothered her. She said it wasn’t how *she* remembered things at all, and it felt like she was questioning everything we went through together. It was just…a lot. I felt awful that she was hurting, but it also felt like she was rewriting our history, and I couldn’t understand why.

It’s definitely sad, but I believe what truly connects us is the shared experience we had. It started as a professional project, but over the years it became something deeply personal. I’m hoping that those years, and the special connection we all felt, will outweigh any recent disagreements. It was a privilege to be a part of something so meaningful for so long.

And though they didn’t film scenes together, Kim did make a small appearance on And Just Like That.

Elton John and Madonna have been publicly disagreeing since 2004. The conflict began when Elton, while accepting an award, criticized Madonna’s live performances. He famously told the audience that he didn’t believe lip-syncing qualified as a live act, and jokingly suggested anyone who lip-syncs during a paid concert shouldn’t be allowed to perform.

Oh my gosh, can you believe it? Back in 2008, she actually pulled her name from Emmy consideration for *Grey’s Anatomy*! I was *devastated*, but honestly, I totally understood. She said the scripts she was getting just weren’t good enough to even *be* nominated, and I mean, she’s right! She deserves awards for amazing work, and she felt like they weren’t giving her the chance to shine. It caused a huge fight with the show’s creator, apparently, but I was 100% on her side. She’s just too talented to be stuck with weak storylines!

Shonda Rhimes discussed Katherine’s choice in a 2012 interview with Oprah Winfrey on *Oprah’s Next Chapter*. She admitted it was both hurtful and expected. “When someone shows you their true colors, pay attention,” Rhimes explained. “I’ve really taken that to heart, and it’s been a valuable lesson for me.”

The fight between Nicki and Cardi at the Harper’s Bazaar Icon party during New York Fashion Week became a major news story. A month later, Cardi publicly explained what caused the conflict with Nicki.

Cardi B told W magazine that someone has been repeatedly criticizing her. They had talked twice before and seemed to resolve things, but the criticism continued.

The conflict really escalated when Cardi B noticed Nicki Minaj had supposedly liked, and then quickly unliked, a tweet criticizing Cardi’s parenting. Nicki has stated she didn’t actually interact with the tweet.

Cardi B explained she turned down a potentially hugely profitable Bruno Mars tour so she could be with her daughter, something she doesn’t regret. She emphasized how much she loves her daughter and considers herself a great mom. She found it frustrating that someone without children would criticize her for enjoying a moment with another artist, adding that opportunities like that don’t come around often – you can’t just run into famous people at the store.

The conflict between Kanye West and Taylor Swift began in 2009 when he interrupted her acceptance speech at the MTV Video Music Awards. They later reconciled and became friends, but their relationship fell apart in 2016 after Kanye released his song “Famous,” which included a reference to Taylor.

Just before the Grammys in February 2025, Kanye West began following only Taylor Swift on Instagram. He didn’t offer any explanation for this action, and Swift didn’t publicly acknowledge it.

“I don’t know her.”

I’ve been following this whole thing with Mariah and Jennifer Lopez for over fifteen years now, and it’s still talked about! It all kicked off when Mariah was being interviewed and asked about other artists. When the interviewer brought up J.Lo, Mariah just said, simply, “I don’t know her.” It was such a small comment, but it really seemed to ignite everything!
