King of the Hill’s fourteenth season released all of its episodes on August 4th, meaning that not everyone has had the time to binge the entirety of the Hill family’s return. As of the writing of this article, we have yet to learn if the show will return for a fifteenth season on Hulu, though considering the groundswell, it wouldn’t come as a surprise. Luckily, we are more than happy to break down some of the story elements in season fourteen that set the stage for a potential future of Arlen, Texas.
Heed this notice: If you haven’t watched the fourteenth season of King of the Hill, be aware we’re venturing into spoiler territory ahead. In the new season, Hank and Peggy are still adjusting to life back in Arlen, Texas, with Hank resisting efforts to return to Saudi Arabia despite his old employer trying hard to bring him back. The final episode of season fourteen sees the Hill family investing in a “boar hunting” startup business, but things don’t go as planned. Later on, Hank and Peggy decide to invest in John Redcorn’s “red corn” venture, hinting at potential future developments in their relationship.
Bobby And Connie’s Relationship
The main plot point moving forward will revolve around Bobby Hill and Connie Souphanousinphone’s growing relationship. When Connie unexpectedly reappears in Bobby’s life, she is involved with Chane Wassanasong, but their relationship isn’t exclusive. Meanwhile, during the fourteenth season, Bobby dates various women, but eventually recognizes that his feelings for Connie are too powerful. However, navigating this relationship won’t be easy for them.
In the final episode of the current season, Bobby and Connie encounter numerous challenges due to their exhaustion from work and an injury sustained by Connie while jumping on a trampoline. Nevertheless, they choose to persist with their new relationship, showing determination to make it work. It’s likely that as the series progresses into its fifteenth season, their developing relationship will be a significant focus in upcoming episodes.
All The Rest
In essence, much like other characters in Arlen, Dale, Bill, and Boomhauer remain largely unchanged. Dale continues his business ventures and spreads conspiracy theories, oblivious to his wife’s relationship with John Redcorn. Bill’s search for acceptance persists, and he still hasn’t found a significant other to help him settle down. As for Boomhauer, he now cares for the child of his girlfriend, but has yet to present his love interest to Hank, Peggy, or the audience at large. Online discussions speculate about whether Boomhauer’s girlfriend may have already appeared in earlier seasons, though viewers will need to wait to discover if her identity is eventually unveiled.
