The actress from Frozen, who recently marked twelve years of marriage with her husband Dax, also revealed some of the things that have made their relationship work.

She described how they truly understand each other, sharing in both good times and bad. Because they’re both creative people, they often get lost in interesting conversations that feel collaborative and fulfilling.

Kristen added, “I am glad I chose my husband because he has a commitment to growth at all times.”

Dax, age 50, is also dedicated to his podcast, Armchair Expert. He’s been focusing on it more lately, even shifting his attention away from acting.

I was really hoping to see Kristen’s husband pop up in season two of Nobody Wants This, but Kristen just confirmed it’s not going to happen! She said there’s absolutely no chance of it, which is a little disappointing, but I totally get it. The new season started on October 23rd on Netflix, and it’s still great even without him!

I was chatting with Will Marfuggi from TopMob News at the premiere the other day, and we were talking about my partner. He really enjoys podcasting, and honestly, he’d jump at the chance to do one if I asked. But I’m a firm believer in letting people pursue things they’re genuinely passionate about, so I wouldn’t want to push him into it if his heart isn’t in it.

It’s a mutual feeling. Kristen explained that if someone asked her to co-host a podcast with them daily, she’d definitely say no.

Dax remembers being immediately struck by Kristen when he first saw her at a birthday party in 2007 – he thought she seemed to sparkle! They met again by chance at a hockey game a couple of weeks later, and decided it was meant to be, starting a relationship soon after.

They became engaged in late 2009 while filming When In Rome. Surrounded by the romantic atmosphere of Italy, they found a love mirroring the story in their movie.

Kristen once said in an interview about her relationship with Dax, “A good cuddle can really solve any problem—it’s not just a saying!”

In 2013, the couple quietly married at a courthouse in Beverly Hills, following an earlier announcement of their engagement on Twitter. Fans appreciated their decision to have a simple wedding, finding it added to the charm of their relationship.
