Ginny & Georgia is still going strong — but how many more seasons could air on Netflix?
In a private conversation with Us Weekly at the Motion Picture & Television Fund NextGen Annual Summer Party, Scott Porter (the actor who plays Paul) expressed that their creator, Sarah [Lampert], is an endless source of stories. He added that he believes they could continue telling this story for a considerable length of time.
Porter, 45, noted that it was up to viewers to show their interest.
He added, “The decision whether we carry on or not lies with Netflix. However, I want to express my gratitude to our viewers for their support during the first three seasons. We never anticipated the show’s success at this level, and it’s thanks to each one of you that it is what it is. So, a big thank you!
The show titled “Ginny & Georgia“, that debuted in 2021, centers around a young single mom who relocates her family to the town of Wellsbury, Massachusetts, following her escape from her past. The Netflix series features the talents of Brianne Howey, Antonia Gentry, Diesel La Torraca, Felix Mallard, Sara Waisglass, Raymond Ablack and Porter in its cast.

As each new season passes, the audience of “Ginny & Georgia” continues to expand significantly. This popular series, having just released its third season this month, has already secured a fourth season and anticipates additional episodes down the line.
Porter, for his part, has been having a blast getting to tell emotional and entertaining stories.
In simpler terms, the actor shared that he trusts the writers of the show because it’s unlike anything he’s ever worked on. The plot twists, turns, and cliffhangers are remarkable, making the scenes challenging for him, particularly since he’s following in the footsteps of Paul from Friday Night Lights. He finds it intimidating due to some demanding scenes that were presented to him, as the leads were exceptionally talented. When the writers ask Paul to delve into deep emotional states, breaking down on screen and revealing a hint of his inner turmoil, the actor confesses he was also intimidated. This quote is from Howey and Gentry, as mentioned earlier in the month to Us magazine.
I wholeheartedly affirm: “We deeply trust one another, from leadership to the rank-and-file. Our team is nothing short of exceptional. Consequently, when we’re faced with tasks that momentarily make us hesitate, we are confident that we step into a secure space. This assurance is invaluable.
In the upcoming season 4, the actor has shown great optimism about the development of Paul’s character, as it is expected that he will rise again from whatever challenges he may face.
There are aspects of Paul that remain mysterious and unseen, so it’s intriguing to consider how he might respond and regain his former self in Season 4. I’m eager to witness glimpses of the old Paul again. We know he’s excellent at his profession, having been elected mayor prior to Georgia entering his life. It would be fascinating to see a return of that determination, quick thinking, and charisma in Season 4.
Ginny & Georgia is currently streaming on Netflix.
